      I called Ashley right away.

"Hey, what's up?" she asked. I told her about the revealing dream. "You can't be serious."

"Dead serious, no pun intended." I responded.

"I get it." Ashley realized. "We're identical to the people murdered."

"And Jessica and Thomas are identical to the killers." I finished.

"That's why Rick and Julie can't leave us alone."

"But how are we supposed to help them pass?" I asked.

"We can answer that one for you." a boy answered.

"John, was that you?" Ashley asked.

"No, silly, that was me, Rick." the ghost said.

"But how are you talking on the phone?" I questioned him.

"Easy, we're ghosts. We can do almost anything." a girl said.

    "Julie?"

"Yeppers. That's what all you teens now say, right?

"Back to getting you to pass." Ashley said.

"Oh yeah. To get us to pass, you need to go to the school the night of the anniversary of our deaths. That's tonight. Find our remains and bring them to the police to put this mystery to an end." Rick told us.

    "That's it?"

"Oh, I'm sure Christie and Marty have other plans, so be careful." Julie added.

"John! It's time to go!" my mom called.

"Uhh, I got to go, guys."

"Bye John." Rick and Julie said.

"We need to talk at school." Ashley told me.

"I know. See ya there." I hung up.

Luckily, Jessica wasn't at school. At breakfast, Ashley and I were talking.

"You realize the danger of what we're doing tonight, don't you?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I do. We could die too."

"My mom said you can come home with me."

"Good. I don't want to be near Thomas."

"What do you think Marty's and Christie's plans are?"

"I don't know." she said. "I guess we'll find out."

"I had a bad day knowing, like Rick and Julie, I might not live to see another day.
