Ellen woke up to Patrick's arms wrapped around her tight, his head on her shoulder. She shifted, feeling his warmth radiating all over her. It was a new sensation. Ellen hadn't been held like that in months. She felt safe in his arms. Patrick was a hell of a guy she decided. The sex last night, him willing to follow her after the wedding...it meant something.

"Ellen?" Patrick woke up, looking at the woman he held. Her green eyes flickered to him, her head turning.

"Morning Patrick." Ellen giggled, kissing him. He blinked, smiling. He could get used to waking up like this. Softly his hands slid up her naked body, caressing her.

"I didn't leave." He commented, his hand twirling a lock of her messy, dirty blonde hair. Ellen faced him, her face lit up. He hadn't left. It was one promise. Patrick had kept his word.

"You didn't." Ellen placed a soft kiss on his lips, her hands on his chest. They sat in awed silence for a few moments before Patrick clasped his hand against hers, pushing her back against the bed. His eyes gazed down her body, feeling his need for her grow. Ellen meant something to him, and he couldn't place what but staring at her pale body against the sheets made him feel it. Her innocence despite being mature, sexually skilled, and her knowing how to use her body for attraction- it made him crave to know her better. Patrick licked his lips, going down for a deep kiss on her neck, which was already filled with love bites from the previous night. Ellen responded with a low throaty moan, her hand gliding across Patrick's chest. She could feel his lean muscles flexing as he adjusted his body, his hips hovering above hers. His kisses lowered, until they reached her breast. Patrick took his time, circling around her rosy nipple with his tongue before sucking on it. He left a mark between the valley of her chest, moving to her other breast. Ellen's feet curled at his movements, her hand gripping his ass firmly as he went down to her stomach.

"You're so beautiful, " Patrick murmured as his hands slid down to clutch her hips. A sharp gasp came from Ellen as she felt him grab her hips. He shifted back before taking a hand and spreading Ellen's creamy, white thighs. His tongue flicked out, tasting Ellen's sweet wetness. She responded with deep moans, her hand clutching the sheets. Patrick teased her slowly, his tongue taking its time on her.

"Patrick..." Ellen started to whine, her moans getting louder as he caressed her lips, then swirled his tongue around her clit. Patrick paused, looking up at her. She began whimpering, loosing control, her body shaking as her release tumbled through her. He continued his assault on her clit, feeling and tasting her as she came. Patrick's hands rubbed her thighs as he pulled back, grinning at her. Ellen was trying to regain the breath he knocked out of her. She laughed, watching him wear a smirky grin, proud of himself.

"What?" Patrick asked, his blue eyes bright in the sun filtering through her room. Ellen smacked him with a pillow as she sat up, grabbing clothes from the floor.

"You're proud huh?" She teased, tossing his black suit at him. Patrick picked up the clothes, groaning.

"I have to do the walk of shame in a tux." He complained. Ellen frowned but walked towards him. She raised up on her toes and kissed his cheek.

"Go shower and I'll see if I can find some clothes. Go." She slipped on a ripped too big tee shirt , waving him off. Patrick got into the shower, while Ellen went into the kitchen to start breakfast. She decided to make eggs for the both of them when the doorbell rang. Ellen paused as she cracked an egg, it splattering in the pan. Could Chris be back? She didn't need him seeing Patrick. Tentatively she made her way to the door, where someone on the other side said

"Delivery for Ms. Pompeo?"

Ellen swung open the door, pushing back her hair, feeling like a mess. A large orange envelope was handed to her,

"Have a nice day." The delivery man said, walking away. Ellen closed the door, leaning back against it. She had no idea what the package could be. Gently Ellen twisted open the sealant, and pulled out a freshly inked script. A script. With her name on it. Ellen shouted in excitement as she read more, hearing Patrick get out of the shower. He stepped into the room, towel around his waist, seeing Ellen now on the floor holding a script.

"I thought something was wrong, what's that?" He asked her, walking over. Ellen looked up with glassy green eyes, ready to cry.

"I-I got my first script...they want me for the main part. I go do a call back in a few days and they'll send it to LA but then if I get it I'm flying out there!" She handed it to him. Patrick squinted as he read,

"Grey's Anatomy? I...my manager made me audition for this too." He said, running his hand through his damp hair. Ellen took back the script and set it on her table. She hugged him. "If I got it, it's back with Jill. I- I should go get it. I'll call the post office to redirect mail  here...if that's okay with you?" Patrick asked as he rubbed her back softly. His heart beat in double time. He and Ellen could be working together?

Ellen started to make the eggs again, as she struggled to find the words to reply to Patrick.

"Hmm...oh you staying here um," The pan made a loud sizzling noise as she faltered. Ellen could barely handle Chris staying over...Patrick who she hardly knew...her gut dropped. Everything was perfect, and she shouldn't be questioning it. This wasn't bad perfect, it was simple, and nice.

"You know what I'll grab a hotel, I shouldn't inconvenience you-" Patrick began to talk as he noticed her sudden anxiousness.

"Stay. I'll get you some closet space." The frying pan sizzled for a few seconds between their words, as Patrick realized she said yes. He shook his head,

"Ellen, don't do this because we slept together. I need a stable place," He said, chewing his bottom lip.

"I'm not doing it because we slept together, it's me being nice. Patrick it's fine. Rent isn't that high. You'll have to pay though." Ellen replied, flipping the eggs. She turned around, looking at him. "Go to Jill and get your clothes, and your mail after breakfast. Okay?"

Patrick sat down at her table after slipping on his boxer briefs, watching her make the eggs. "Okay," he agreed as Ellen plated breakfast, handing it to him.

"You know...if you get this show, this part. I could be your co star," Patrick suggested between bites. Ellen paused,

"Who, who did you audition for?" She asked, sipping some juice.

"The brain guy. Uh Dr. Shepherd," Patrick smiled at Ellen, excited. He could have an amazing co star, and she was having breakfast with him at this very moment. Ellen looked at him, her brow rising.

"You...mean my love interest?" she asked, green eyes wide. Patrick paused, his own brow rising.

"You auditioned for Meredith?" Ellen nodded quickly, smiling. She reached out to rub his hand.

"So we would move out to LA together?" Ellen questioned as Patrick cleaned their plates. He turned, shrugging.

"I suppose we would but...you know, if we both get these roles, Ellen we can't be co stars sleeping with each other." Patrick's blue eyes grew sad as he spoke. This job was a miracle, in the smallest of senses.

"Oh well whatever. She told me it wouldn't be picked up even if I did a pilot. She just said they pay beforehand so it's good to try. Then I'll be in LA, and I'll make it. You'll see!" Ellen got up, kissing Patrick's cheek before going to the bathroom. "I have to get ready for practice soon."

Patrick got the rest of his suit on, leaving off his jacket to try and seem casual as he went down to grab a taxi to his house. Ellen spent her time showering pondering her feelings for Patrick. She had shoved off his comments about being co stars and sleeping together but a part of her couldn't. Would she really be able to resist him, work with him? He was walking sex, she had to be honest. Patrick was lean but he was attractive. He made up for his muscles in brain and heart, which she adored. His messy curls made her knees weak, she loved her hands combing through it. And he had stayed. Ellen closed her eyes, remembering what it felt like to have him close when she woke up. It felt right. With Chris she would wake up alone, which made her feel used. It didn't help that she was a dancer on top of that. Ellen had grown up waking up alone after nightmares, waking up alone without comfort. It was routine but she expected more from a supposed boyfriend. She just wanted the feelings of inadequacy to stop, and well Patrick has lessened them. Ellen washed her hair, taking a deep breath. What had she done to deserve Patrick?
