Lionclaw looked out from her cave to find her kits. She leaped down from her cave and stalked in the high grass. She saw her kits, Tigertail and Whiskerpaw leaning over what looked to be a critically injured cat. "W-w-what is that?" Lionclaw spoke getting closer to her kits. Tigertail turned around in shock. "Uh! Nothing?" He said inching forward. Whiskerpaw began to cry. Lionclaw moved her kits out of the way and what she saw made her heart sink. She knew that there were mountain lions near by but not this close. She said her youngest kit Summerfur with giant claw marks up and down her slender body. "Let's go!" Lionclaw said profusely. She picked up her injured kit and ran back to the clan she had just abandoned, Snowclan. She went to Yellowleaf, the nurse. "Yellowleaf! Please! You have to help Summerfur!" She yelled across the plain of fresh snow. "Well, well. Look who came crawling back!" Mocked Yellowleaf. "Listen, I don't have the time for this. She's been scratched by mountain lions!" Pleaded Lionclaw. "Oh my, well looks like you are unfit to be a mother!" Yellowleaf said gazing into Lionclaws eyes with enjoyment. Lionclaw tackled Yellowleaf and pinned her down. "DON'T YOU EVER. BRING MY CHILDREN. INTO AN ARGUMENT. GOT IT?" Lionclaw said as she let go of Yellowleaf's shoulder blades. "I-I-I'll see what I can do..."
