"You're a foster child?" I asked.

"Ye-yes..." He said as a tear escaped his eye. He quickly reached up and wiped it away. Poor kid.

"Does your family treat you well?" I asked genuinely concerned. I know how some foster families can be. Callie and Jude were treated so wrong... And Jack...

"N-no... They... They beat me daily and they make fun of me and I... I can't take it any more... That's why I ran out in front of your car... I just... Wanted it all to end..." He began crying uncontrollably. Monte came around and hugged him before I could. She quieted him down and told him it would be okay.

"James... It's going to be okay. I promise. Stef and I will help you," she looked to me over his shoulder. She was pleading and begging me to help. I could tell from the look in her eyes.

"We will help you, James," I said as a tear rolled down my own cheek. He reminded me so much of Jack.

His long hair was just like Jack's only jet black. He had green eyes just like Jack too. He was just a young boy who hadn't been shown love in so long. He didn't know what it felt like. I had to help him.

So I promised I would.
