The Royal One

Chapter 1

Oliver's Pov

As I sit in my office doing paperwork i get a phone call from my mom. "Hey mom, how are you?"

"I'm good sweetie, happy birthday." Says my mom Rosalind

" Mom it's not happy at all because I have yet to find my mate it's been 10 years and she has yet to be in my life, so once I find her I would be happy" I say to my mom feeling sad already.

"That's why you father and I found the best way to find your mate and that is by inviting all of your brothers and sisters packs to the castle and you would be able to find your mate because all females will be there."

" Mom I can't I'm busy with paperwork" I say making up an excuse to not go.

"Don't you dare lie to me Oliver Philip Backwood and your coming anyway because I made it a royal announcement. So look good and I can't wait to see you tonight sweetie. Bye."

"Bye mother" I say annoyed. I love my mother but sometimes she takes it too far. I'm 27 years old today, and being a royal we are supposed to find our mate a year earlier than normal werewolves which is at the age of 17. But I can't find mine anywhere. I would spend nights out looking for her, trying to find a scent but would come back empty handed.

Sometimes I hate my mother for things she does because I have already lost hope looking for her. She is just wasting her time planning a party that is useless.

As I put everything in place and finish the paper work that's on my desk I put it away. In all honesty I don't need to do paperwork because I am already a couple months ahead. From me being the oldest in the family, my dad taught me that being ahead and organized is good to be a great Alpha.  My dad gave me the most information out of all my siblings. First is me, then comes Ian he's 26, Owen he's 25, Meredith she's 24, Bellalika she's 23, Gray he's 22, Ashton he's 21, Amelia and Arianna are twins and they are 20, Bianca is 19, then you got Dianella is 18 ,and the youngest is Samuel he's 17. My parents weren't planning on having this much kids but my dad says he couldn't control himself when mom was in heat.

Ever since I've figured out what heat was, which was when I was like 12 and having my dad tell me how he couldn't control himself made me disgusted thinking my parents were having sex. After getting rid of that horrifying image of my parents in my head I head up to my room and pick an outfit to wear for tonight. As I walk in my closet and choose a black suit, white button up shirt,with a royal blue tie and matched it with black dress shoes. As I set it on my bed, I go back in my closet and take a pair of boxers out and take a cold shower. Mainly because I was think of what I would do to my mate if I did find her tonight. So after my shower I put on my clothes and go down and see everyone had already left to go to my parents castle. As I get in my black Camero and take the longest route possible. I know it's wrong to make my parents wait but it's just because I have already looked into all my brothers and sisters packs and nothing. As I was in my thoughts and not paying attention to the road a rouge comes on the road and I hit it. I freak out because my car is damaged because this damn rouge. He is still unconscious so I go to the trunk of my car and pull out the rope and silver chains I had in their. As I get him tied up I put him in the back of my car and head to my parents house.

As I reach my parents house I head to the back and go to one of my back up cars and open the trunk and realize the rouge woke up so I injected him with wolfsbane, which knocked him out. So I carry him and put him in the blue Camero and locked it up before going inside. As soon as I get in the back door I smell so many scents mixed together but none of them stood out in particular. As I walk past people I see my mom and dad standing on the staircase looking down until their eyes landed on me.

They called me over and as soon as I reached them they pulled me into a hug. "Why hello my handsome young boy" my mom says as she pinches my cheeks. I grimace at the feeling, not liking it because I am a grown man. My dad looks at me and waiting for the answer he hopes to hear. " No dad I have not found her yet". His face falls when he hears that but my mom looks mad at me when she hears that. " How can you say she is not here if you just got here, now go in the crowd and find her because I want to meet my new daughter in law. You brothers and sisters found their mates now go find yours."

All my siblings found their mates, some found out as soon as they turned 17 others found out a year or two later. Ian found his mate when he did a perimeter check her name is Carrie, Owen found his mate when he went to Bellalika's pack and found Mia, Meredith found her mate when she went to the mall and ran into Logan,  Bellalika found her mate Carlos at the mall,Amelia and Arianna found their mates when they went to Australia on vacation and their names are Daniel and Derrick also twins. Gray found his mate when he went to help out a pack in Europe and her name is Stella, Ashton found his mate when he went to visit my mom and realized she was a maid at the castle her name is Carlie, Bianca came to my pack and found her mate William, which happened to be my best warrior but we made a trade she takes him and I take her best warrior Kennan. Dianella found her mate Austin when her pack went to war with a pack in Japan, and last of all Samuel found his mate Alanya sitting under a tree near the river, it was sad because her mom died of some rare disease and her dad died from the loss of his mate.

But I'm here still waiting on my mate to show up in my life. I had made a promise to myself last year and that is if I couldn't find my mate by 28 I would search the each and every spot that was considered free land. And if I can't find her there that is when I would begin my search in other countries.

As I walked through the crowd passing all the people. Some of the female wolves kept grabbing on to me but when I looked at them, they were all wearing skimpy outfits too short and too flashy. While other girls wore long silk dresses. But none of them caught my eye, my mood dropped dramatically from hopeful to sad.

As the clock hit 11 I head out to the blue Camero and go home I reached the dungeons at 11:30 pm and took the rouge to the questioning room. I had the guards tie him up so I can question him tomorrow morning. As I head up to my room I take off my clothes leaving me in boxers and headed to sleep.
