"I've decided to go on a diet!", Lara cracked up laughing from the other side of the phone, she even snorted. "Did you just say you're on a diet? Pfffft! Since when?"
"Since yesterday" I replied, "I haven't eaten anything unhealthy since then"
"are you sure you haven't eaten anything unhealthy?"
"Yes! I'm super-dooper sure!"
I opened up a block of chocolates and stuffed them inside my mouth,
"Cause that includes chocolates" said Lara. I went quiet, she's my best friend , who also seems to know everything about me, she knows that I eat a lot and especially chocolates, they make me dribble. "chocolates are very unhealthy" she continued, "so.. you haven't been eating any chocolates?"
I spat out the chocolate that was in my mouth, "Nope, no chocolates, like I said I haven't eaten anything unhealthy since yesterday"
"Okay then" she didn't quite believe me, I could tell from her tone of voice. "So you wanna catch up later? Let's say 2'o clock, my house?"
"Sure thing Lara! See you at 2"
"See y'a Kayla!"
So I'm going to Lara's, should I drive there? No I'll walk, it's about an half an hour walk though! But I need to lose some weight!! I don't want anymore people to tease me about my weight!!
An image of Kaiden King appeared inside my head, he's my crush, I've been crushing on him since year 5. It was English class and we were learning about similes, ( you know? 'He's as quiet as a mouse', 'Her snore was as loud as thunder', that sorta simile). Anyways we had to get into groups of two or three and come up with as many similes as we can, I was in a group of two with my bestie Lara, Kaiden was in a group of three with his two best mates, Joseph and Simon. They glanced at me started giggling, I never liked those two, they were really mean to me in grade 7 and they still are! Those bullies!! But not Kaiden, Kaiden's fabulous, he's gorgeous, amazing, he's like a knight in shining armor, well in this case a handsome boy with great hair! Okay let's stop talking about gorgeous Kaiden. Later on we had to share one of the sentences we came up with, it was Kaiden's turn, him and the boys giggled and finally said it. " She's as heavy as an elephant", Kaiden looked at me and giggled, then turned his head away.
Did he mean........ me? Omg!! " And I thought he was a nice guy!" Lara grumbled and twitched her nose at him, " I don't get it? Why do you even like that guy? He's such a jerk!!!!"
" There's a lot about him to like!!"
" Oh is that right? Like what?" Lara grinned
" Like.... Well... He has great hair"
"Seriously? His hair? His hair isn't great! I'll tell you what his hair is!! His hair is a stinky old mop with hair gel overload!! Yeah that's right! I said it!"
"Excuse me?! A stinky old mop?? Kaiden is my boyfriend!!!!"
Lara raised an eyebrow. I blushed a little, or maybe a lot, "I mean ahh.... Future boyfriend, it's what I said, Future boyfriend"
"Kayla! He called you an elephant! That's not nice at all!!" Said Lara " but I guess i can't stop you from liking someone"
So yeah, Kaiden is gorgeous! 'DING!' I got a text, I reached out for my phone which is on the other side of the bed, it's from Lara. "Can't wait to show u my new puppy! She's adorable!!😍😍" The text said. "Oh I gotta go to Lara's and it's already 1:38, I might get there on time if I hurry, I'm walking there".
"Bye mum! I'm going to Lara's, be back at 5" I yelled from at the door.
"Ok wait for me!" Yelled mum
"Oh, no I've decided to walk there so bye!"
"You're walking there?" Mum sounded surprised "are you sure sweetie? It's an half an hour walk!"
"Yes I'm sure mum, love you bye" I shut the door and started walking.
I looked at my phone and I've only been walking for 5 minutes, but it felt like forever, I looked across the road and saw Katy Mcewen. Oh no! Katy is my worst enemy! My nightmare! She's one of the cool girls at school, and she hates me. Because I took 'her' role in the musical! I didn't know the teacher was going to pick me, Ms Taylor said I had a great voice and said nothing about Katy, and then Katy got really mad and stormed out of the theater. She really hates me. I tried to avoid her, I put my head down and kept walking, but unfortunately she saw me.
