Chapter 1: Fiery Synchronization and a Wild Pokemon! Ash vs. Blu!

Her alarm clock beeped loudly at her, signaling it was time to wake up. She looked out her window. A bright, sunny day outside. "Blu, honey, breakfast's ready!" her mom shouted. Blu smiled and walked out with a blue hat on, blue gloves on, blue everything.

"Blu! You look so beautiful! Are you ready for a Pokemon to call your own?" her mom asked. "Yeah," Blu answered, stuffing pancakes in her face and eating. She took a drink of orange juice and put on a blue backpack, made by her mother, with a sky-blue name stitched-on: Blu.

"I advise getting a Bulbasaur," her older brother, Max, said, with his Pikachu on his shoulder. "I'm not gonna follow in Daddy's footsteps, nor will I follow in yours," Blu said. Max sighed, "Well, okay. Get whatever Pokemon you want. You could be a water trainer, too," he suggested.

"Like that girl Misty?" Ms. Ocean asked. Hearts formed in the boy's eyes. "Y-Yeah," he sighed. "Her orange, carrot-y hair..those pools-of-water eyes...Ohh.." Blu slapped Max and it left a mark. "Blu!" Her mom snapped. "He wont shut up about Misty. I mean, she's pretty awesome, but jeez, making goo-goo eyes, thinkin' about her...Sheesh."

"Anyways, honey, Professor Oak's waiting for you. Have a safe journey, write letters, I love you," her mom smiled, kissing her cheek. "I'm on the road to become the best trainer the world has ever seen before!" Blu shouted, and opened the door, running out. Max closed the door.

Blu ran and looked at her watch. Just in time. She busted into the lab and Professor Oak smiled. "Hello there, Blu, and welcome to the Lab! I'm sure you did a lot of studying and you looked at the battle manual right?" He asked. Blu nodded, smiling back. "I wonder what Pokemon you're going to choose," a voice snickered. She'd recognize that voice anywhere. "Gary," she'd mutter, balling her fists.

Gary came out of the shadows and smirked. Blu looked at the Pokeballs and then back at Gary. "I choose..Charmander," Blu said, before Gary could even say "choose".  Gary glared at her, a mad expression taking over his face. Blu took the Pokeball and smirked at Gary. Gary smiled at her, "I choose Bulbasaur."

They both walked out of the lab and Blu smirked. She had her battle plan planned in her head. She knew what she was going to do. Gary thought of a plan, too, but he was nervous about it. He thought, 'Oh man, what if I lose? My title won't be the best, but the second best!" He threw his Pokeball, "I choose you, Bulbasaur!"

"Let's go, Charmander!" Blu shouted. "You're going down," Gary hissed. "I have a battle plan. Charmander, Fire Spin!" Blu smirked. She said it so fast that Gary didn't have time to react. Charmander hit Bulbasaur head-on. Gary gasped and then frowned. "Come on, Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf!" he shouted.

"Charmander, you can dodge that easy attack," Blu smiled at her Charmander. Charmander was smart enough and fast enough to dodge Razor Leaf. Charmander jumped over Bulbasaur as the attack hit it's skin. But Charmander was fine.

"Fury Cutter!" Gary shouted. "Let's go, Charmander, Flamethrower!" Blu shouted too. The two Pokemon went at each other, and then, before he knew it, Gary's Bulbasaur..fainted.

"It was all out of luck!" Gary shouted, blushing. "You had only luck! LUCK, LUCK, LUCK!" he shouted. "Now Gary, may I have you know she has studied every inch of the manual, therefore she made a plan, defeating you in her first battle," Oak said.

"That was barely a battle," Blu said. The professor put Pokeballs in the young girl's hand, and gave her a Pokedex. It seemed it was an updated version, but then again, it was still a Kanto one.

"Thanks, Mr. Oak! Bye!" Blu shouted. The Pokemon 'Prof' smiled at her and waved back at her and gave Gary his stuff. "I'll get that girl..I'll get her good," he said, his teeth gritted together. He started to follow her quietly. 'She's so clueless,' he thought, smirking. 'It was all just luck, she didn't study nothing.'
