Chapter 7 ~My inheritance and a slap in the face~

When we pulled up to the church everyone was greeting us. We seat down together on the pew.Just before Bible study started I heard that goofy ugly laugh. I turned around in my seat to look at him. I havent seen him all week. He had my brothers with him My oldest brother Devonte and my twin Danyel. "hey yall" I said and stood up and gave each one a hug. "Hey baby girl sorry I haven’t came by or called you I been busy tring to finish the house" my dad whispered in my ear. I looked at him and rolled my eyes I was just joking with him. My grandmother poped me on my arm and said you better stop that they gonna get stuck just like that one day. I looked at my father and said Iam joking. He rolled his eyes and poped his neck like some ghetto chick from the hood. I shook my head and looked at the deacons they were starting devotion. The lesson was really good. I was getting up from the pew I tripped and fell and my bible and the papers that was in it went flying everywhere. My brothers were laughing at me while my father picked up all my papers and my uncle Ben helped me up. "Baby girl what is this"My father said looking at a piece of paper that had a lot of writing on it. "I don’t know dad my granny always had my Bible" I said My father had the weirdest look on his face. He handed the paper to my uncle and he read it. He started smiling and looked at me and picked me up trolling me around. "are you serious wow" "what is it I wanna know" I looked at the paper and it was from my granny that passed away. I couldn’t believe what the letter said. I had two houses and two cars I owned the house that my mother was living in and my grandmothers old house. Two cars that was in storage and all the money that was in her account. She also left instruction on what to do and how to obtain it all. "Come on you are staying at my new house tonight I have a surprise for you" my father said "really hat is it tell me" I urged him but he wouldn’t give in he told me to wait and see. Whatever I walked over to my grandmother and told her I was going with my father. She said okay and we walked out to his mercedes . I got in the car and lied my head back and closed my eyes. I was trying to register what had just happened I couldn’t believe that I owned my mothers house. I could get back at her by kicking her out or make her pay rent. My life just got better. I looked out the window we had been driving for a while now I knew he lived in sacramento but we were going the opposite way towards San Francisco. "where are we going" I ask "that’s the surprise" He takes the next exit off then we go up some huge hill. It was a gated community. The houses was huge looked very expensive. My dad reached up to his head vise and pressed a bottom and the gates to a house opened. He pulled up in the drive way and turned off the car and got out. "Dad what is this is this house yours" he didn’t say anything just pulled me. He unlocked the door and kept pulling me inside. The house was beautiful on the inside. He kept pulling me upstairs. We got to a door that said my name and different colors. I looked around and I saw there was a room with Denise’s name on it also. I looked up at my father and he had this stupid grin on his face "go on and open the door I can’t wait anymore". I walked in and the room was huge. It was painted in my favorite color plum purple. Flat screen tv on the wall and I had my own bathroom, A big bead and a desk with a laptop on it. I believe I had the best father in the world. "that’s not all go look in the closet" I walked over to the closet door and opened it I had a new wardrobe and a walk in closet. I had to tell Jack about this. "Dad how can you afford all this?" "can you be eleven for once and not worry about that I know you wont be living here but while your here I wanted you to feel like home When you come home on the weekends or on vacations from school you will always have a place to come too." I walked over to where he was standing and gave him a big hug. I love this man. "tomorrow can you please take me back to grandma’s house so I can get my stuff I wanna live here" "I don’t know about that baby girl There are something that is preventing me from having custody over yall but I will try my best but for now take a bath get in your pj’s and we will watch a movie in our new theater down stairs" "okay"

Jack P.O.V

"..... You could be the captain of this team. You have so much ability and drive if you keep this will and this intensity up you can lead us to four state championships. And that will mean full ride scholarships for you and I know momma would be happy about that."

He looked at my mother and winked I hate when dudes try to hit on my mother. "blah blah blah blah I don’t care about what he had to say.I just wabted to get this over with My birthday was coming up I was trying to plan a party and study for this test I had to do in March. School was so boring without Danny she made everything better. Her presence brighten up a gloomy day for me. I haven’t seen her since she came to my house that night. We talked on the phone but its not the same. I feel myself changing everyday. I becoming hard I don’t take no sh*t from nobody. I’m my own man. The only person that can get under my skin is my family and of course Danyelle. "Lets go get your classes and dorm room for next year Welcome to Saint Josephine High school" I shook his hand and stood up. We walked to the admissions office while the Head coach was pointing out building that I might have classes in. This school seem laid back and easy the only part is no females on campus. I got my classes which was the usual expect p.e I had football workouts and classes last for two hours instead of one. I got my room and It was on the other of campus in the football building. My roommate was my boy TK. This year is about to be crazy. Terrel King Paul Grant and I there anit no stopping us.

　

Darren P.O.V

I had woken up early we had fell asleep in the theater room. Devonte and Ben was laid out on the air mattress Danyel was on my left side while Danny was on my right. The place was a mess we had pizza, snacks and popcorn last night.There was a loud bang at the door. "who the hell is that banging on the fu*cking door at this time in the morning "Ben said by now everybody was up. I got up and walked to the door but it was to late the police busted through the door. "Everybody on the ground now" they yelled "Darren Harris we have a warrent for your arrest" WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!!
