I walk quickly past the immaculate entrance of the Oasis, I need to get some fresh air and calm down before I hurt somebody. I nearly trip on a planter by the road but get onto the busy strip. There were so many people here. All wanting to get something. Laid, drunk, money, home. The colors of the casinos are calming as I run through the thick crowds. I slow down my pace.

Something isn't right.

I sensed something coming from this direction, it was powerful, more powerful than I have ever felt before. I know I shouldn't be down here at one in the morning on a Friday night but I can't handle staring at four walls without doing something about what I was just told. Why wasn't I told sooner? What could have caused all this trouble I've had throughout my life.

I continue down the strip, all my training blocking out my common sense of going to get help.I was getting close. I pull out the blade I keep hidden in my ankle boots, keeping it out of sight in my fist. Going down busy strips, there is bound to be some power seeking Amarande out. What, with the drunks and the unaware mortals. I make a quick turn into an alley and almost fall back from the power throbbing out of the corners. I look along the walls. I don't see anything but brick walls and a few empty beer bottles. But where was this power pouring from?

I turn around to meet an Amarande nose to nose with me. Cornered. Quickly I step aside but quicker he, no, it, grabs my shoulder and flips me around so I'm staring eye to eye with it once again. It may look like a mortal to anyone else. But to Auestus we can see their blue gray aura and gray, lifeless eyes.

"Now look at my luck that I would run into you out of every other Auetus. You know exactly who I am, Don't you?" It sneers. I'm speechless, I forget all my training and lessons from these few words. I already had a suspicion but these words left me doubtless.

It was Him.
