Chapter 7 - Look Into Your Eyes and the Sky's the Limit/Helpless

  "Anyway," Laurens said, "I think we'll leave the love birds alone for now, let them make out or whatever. Let's go." Alex nodded and followed close behind.

  They walked through the ball room together, Laurens looked over to Alexander and saw him looking at a couple of girls who were staring at him. The oldest had a long pink flowing dress, a pink cardigan to match, her hair was curled and the front of it held up looping around her head while the back of her hair gracefully bounced with mostly every move she made while it hung past her shoulders. The other who looked younger than the first was wearing a similar styled dress, except this one was a turquoise color, along with a matching cardigan as well. Her hair laid down and went a little past her shoulders. John then soon recognized them as Peggy's older sister's, Angelica and Eliza Schuyler.

  He nudged Alexander in the side, "hey, don't get any ideas." He teased to which caused a laugh from Alex.

  "Oh come on Laurens, you know I won't do something like that to you. I'm gonna have to say no to this one." He smiled a toothy grin. "Besides, I like you too much."

  Laurens smiled warmly and walked outside to the courtyard outside, hopefully no one else was there. 

  They arrived outside, the view was absolutely breath taking. Trees stood tall, taking a dark color against the night as they were moments away from touching by a single millimeter. Gray cobblestones lay on the ground forming a path that spread across the ground and lead to many directions. A single fountain was centred in it all, water came through the hole at the top of the cement structure as gracefully danced into the bowl at the bottom. It was silent, the only sound was the fountain and the soft hum of crickets and a small croak of a frog. John felt Alex's hand slip into his, he looked over at him as their eyes met. Alexander smiled and pulled John with him towards the scenery. At that moment, when John saw Alexander's smiling face did he realize that everything around him looked even more breath taking than it was.

  "Laurens, do you know happy I am whenever I am with you?" Hamilton said as they both sat on a bench facing the ball room. "I never actually knew what love was until I met you."

  Laurens smiled. "since when were you so cheesy?" He said sarcastically.

  Alex tried to hide a laugh but failed slightly, "aww come on man I'm being serious." He put his hands on his hips.

  "You know I'm only joking, but I feel like the happiest man in the entire world whenever I'm with you, Alexander."

  "Oh so know who's getting chessy!" Hamilton said jokingly. They both let out laughs.

  "Hey," a voice interrupted them. They turned to see Peggy with Mulligan behind her. "The others and I are going, just wanted to let you guys know." She said with a smile and a hint of mischief in her eyes.

  "K, we'll be out in a sec." John said and Peggy left with Mulligan, as he was walking away he winked at them and walked away.

  "Wanna go?" John asked.

  "In a bit, I'd like to admire you more in this moon light." He said with a smirk.

  John lightly punched Alexander on the arm, "you fuckin flirt!" He laughed, "come on let's go." He said grabbing Alex's hand and pulled him back into the ball room, it was alot more warmer in their than outside.

  Alex's hand started slipping away until John grabbed it again, he began to get concern. He looked over to Alexander to see his eyes looking all around the ball room with a nervous and uncomfortable look on his face. "Hey," John started, "what's wrong?"

  Alex looked over at John, "What if someone sees us holding hands?" He said in a whisper.

  "If anyone sees us and starts talking shit then we just turn the other cheek I guess." 

  Alex nodded, he seemed a little bit better as he tightened his grip on John's hand. They walked outside to see Peggy and Mulligan holding hands and talking softly to each other. John smirked and spoke rather loudly, "are you two together yet?"

  They turned to face John and Alex and Mulligan hooked his arm around Peggy, "yes, yes we are."

  Peggy smiled, "he likes to think so."

  "Whaaa??" Hamilton and Laurens said in unison.

  "Just make out already and get it over with!" Hamilton said, John laughed. Even Mulligan let out a chuckle.

  Angelica poked her head out of one of the carriages, "Peggy are you done talking to your boyfriend yet?"

  Peggy blushed and turned to Angelica with her hands on her hips. "Shut up Ange! I'm coming." She groaned. 

  Angelica laughed and noticed Alexander and smirked, she retreated her head back into the carriage and a moment later she and Eliza looked out, she was blushing slightly.

  "H-hi, Alexander." She said shyly.

  Alex smiled and waved, "Hey Eliza."

  She smiled and turned her attention back to Peggy, "come on, father is expecting us."

  "Ok," she rolled her eyes and turned to Mulligan, "write to me?"

  "Of course," he bowed down and kissed her hand,  she smiled and left in the carriage.

  "Aww," Alex and John said at the same time.

  "Shut up guys!" Mulligan said hitting their heads, "meet ya inside Ham." He said climbing in.

 "K, hold on a sec." He called, Mulligan shut the door.

  "You shouldn't keep him waiting he isn't that patient at times." He said smiling.

  "Yes but before I go I should do this." Alex grabbed John's face and stood on his toes and their lips touched for a split second but broke away when they heard the voices of Lafayette and (Y/N) emerging from the building. "We should go, see you tomorrow love." He said winking and climbed into his and Mulligan's shared carriage.

  John smiled to himself and went into his own carriage. When he went inside all he could think about was Hamilton. When (Y/N) came into the carriage he still thought about nothing but Hamilton. When the carriage took off all he thought about was Hamilton. Everything that came into his mind reminded him of Hamilton. Hamilton. Hamilton.

  "You ok John?" (Y/N) asked after she turned back from looking out the window. She looked concerned.

  John sighed heavenly, "Never better, (Y/N). Never better."

A/N: AH! Done! Sorry this one took so long for me to post, this is one of my favorite chapters I've written. Good news though! I got laptop yesterday from my school, and guess who's gonna use it to write/read fanfiction? Me! Anyway, comment on how what you thought of this chapter, I love hearing from you guys.
