Once we were all in the car driving back home after an amazing day at the park, I slipped out my phone from my pocket and decided to text Caleb. I haven't had the best luck with love in my past, and it's not everyday that a really hot guy randomly calls you beautiful and then asks for your number.
My thumbs were hovering over the keypad of my phone. What should I say? I have no idea. I should just start off easy, make a conversation..
'Hey, this is Macy. Is this Caleb?'
It took only a few seconds after I pressed send to get a response.
'This is Caleb. Is this the amazingly stunning young lady at the lake?'
'He's so sweet!' I thought to myself.
'I guess it is :)'
We continuously texted back and forth for the rest of the night, and throughout the next day. He's such a genuine, sweet, FUNNY guy! Almost perfect.

2 Days Later
I'm meeting up with Caleb tonight. He said 8:30 at a little creek right outside my neighborhood. It's only a few minutes away from my house, so I'll leave at like 8:20 or so. Caleb is a freshman in college, and lives about 20 minutes away so he'll probably leave around 8 to meet me. I'm taking my sister Jordyn with me because I haven't known Caleb for that long and it's not like I don't trust him, I do. I just haven't put my full trust into him yet.
It's 5:00 and I am so tired. Today has been exhausting just as any other Monday is. I set my alarm clock for 7:30 to wake me up 45 minutes before Jordyn and I left so I could get dressed. Once I got comfortable under my warm blankets in my bed, I was out. Talk about being sleep deprived.

I woke up feeling somewhat better. I little refreshed and rejuvenated. A nap can help a lot. I looked at my clock which read 9:02. I yawned and lazily got out of bed. I quickly looked back at the clock again. 9:02??! WHAT?! I set my alarm clock for 7:30!!!! I checked it and saw that I set it for 7:30 AM. Not PM. Oh. My. Gosh. I quickly looked around for my phone and had no luck in finding it. This is a disaster!! Caleb probably thinks I'm a flake.
I throw my hair up real fast, grabbed a pair of slip on shoes, looked in the mirror to see if I looked somewhat decent, grabbed Jordyn and raced out the door.
I was freaking out the entire walk there, thinking the worst. Caleb probably thinks I'm a fake, and is probably feeling stupid. He's not going to forgive me and is going to think I am just making up excuses.
Once I get to the creek, we look around for him but he is no where to be found. Jordyn looked at her phone and it was 9:37. I'm over an hour late. I feel absolutely terrible. Like an utter jerk for doing this to Caleb. He, of all people doesn't deserve this. I may have just messed up something that could have actually have been something!!
Jordyn and I waited for about another 5 minutes to see if he would maybe come back or if we didn't see him before we started to head back home.
Once we got back home, I told Jordyn to call my cell phone so I could find it. It was set on vibration so it took a while to locate, but we eventually found it. It was in between the sheets of my bed. I seriously have no idea how it got there. I unlocked my screen and found that I had multiple texts and missed calls all from Caleb. All reading: 'Are you here yet??', 'You coming?', 'You on your way?!?'. The very last text made my stomach clench. It was exactly what I was expecting. 'You stood me up.'
Looks like I've got a ton of apologizing to do. All because of one nap.
