Don't think you'll get away from defying my orders my boy. Silya Emerson will pay for what she has done to you. You will marry Frica Brown and that will be the end of that.

This was from a year and a half ago. How did this happen in the first place? How was I dragged down here, in this cold place?

"Don't! I won't listen to you!" The me in the past continues to struggle against the ropes. He grimaces at the pain of the ropes cutting through his skin. My father walks over with a big syringe in his hand. I notice that he underneath his suit was a packet of pills.

As I've said before Jaylin, you need to wake up. I refuse to let you fight against me. You and your dumb mother were both always so stubborn with me. Maybe that's why she left you. She saw too much of her personality inside of you.

The past me is now begging or my father to stop this. His body is getting weaker the more that he struggles. "My mother is here inside of the house...with a monster like you!" He bits his lip looking at his father with his blood boiling.

You're wrong. Your mom and sister left the two of us a long time ago. She left me with a son who was useless to me from the day of the car crash! How could she?!

He stops walking for a second and slumps his shoulder. His head faces the ground, his hair covering the tears that started falling. Was it possible for my father to actually feel hurt?

I loved her so much. Why couldn't she love me back? I...want...

He looks up at the past me, suddenly sneering. He continued to move once more with the syringe in his hand. Every step he took echoed in my ears. I felt my chest hurt.

This is reality my son. No one will ever love you for who you truly are, just for what you are.

"What I am to you then, father?!" I wanted to grab the past me and hold him tight, to tell him that he's not alone. All I could see is the reflection of myself in total despair. My grey eyes showed no sign of color. He had stopped struggling against the ropes. I had recognized the outfit that he had on to be the same ones that I had worn on the day we came back from camping.

You're the heir to the Hennery household. A person that has no use for me ever since you lost the ability to walk. How could my son get hurt so easily? I told you to fight off the pain. I told you that you couldn't fail me. You did so much more than that though. You're weak! That girl, only made my son worse!

"It's not true father. Silya has done so much for me, I've come to love her very much. Please stop this." My father steps in front of the past me and bends down. His grey eyes reflecting my own.

Too bad, Jaylin. I really believed that after all these years of solitude, you would figure out the truth. Your mother doesn't need you. Your sister doesn't know you exist and I don't care to be around you anymore. Get the picture?

"I'm sorry. Please just let me go. I'll do anything!" I watch as the needle get closer to his neck.

You're too late...seventeen years too late for apologizes. Once again, sweet dreams.

I hear the sound of the ropes loosen as he falls limp. His head hangs to the side and eyes close, leaving his tears stained to his face. My father stands up and walks over to his table. He kicks some rocks beside him and bends over the table. There was no light, except for a small lantern that was on the table. Everything was green, dark and muggy. He opens up a notebook filled with charts, equations and observations.

Had my father planned on doing this in the beginning? Why did I just remember what had happed after I had ran out of the trailer to chase after Silya?
