Misunderstanding Part Two

"Do you know anything about science?" You asked, your angry tone subsiding.

"Yeah... A little bit. Why?" He replied hesitantly, cocking his head slightly to the side.

"Good. Can you grab that petri dish and pipette for me over there, please?" You requested, Bucky giving you a confused look before heading off to fetch your items.

"This one?" Bucky held up a flask, as you sighed silently to yourself.

"No. That's a flask."

"How about this one?" He then held up a watch glass, as you could feel yourself internally face palming.

"No, Bucky. That's a watch glass." You slowly answered, pinching the bridge of your nose in frustration.

"I'm pretty sure it's this one." He held up a bag of M&Ms, a radiant smile on his face.

"Alright... You know what? Bucky, those are a bag of M&Ms. I'm 100% sure, that M&Ms are not needed to prove the cell theory." You remarked, a hint of a small smile on your face.

"I'm just kidding. Here ya go,принцесса(Princess)." Bucky placed down the items you required, hopping on top of the bench beside you as he played around with a small beaker with fluid inside it.

"Put that beaker down unless you want acid in your eye."

"Does that mean you forgive me, принцесса(Princess)?" He asked playfully, a cocksure smirk on his face.

"Whatever you want it to be Рыцарь в сияющих доспехах(Knight in shining armour)." You replied back, rolling your eyes in the process. A small laugh escaped his lips as he opened the packet of M&Ms he found.

"Actually... Where the hell did you find those M&Ms? I don't really store in food in my lab due to unsanitary purposes but i'm just curious to where you found it?"

"Found it in one of the cupboards. You know there are chips and blueberries in there right? I thought you knew about this?" He threw in a handful of M&Ms in his mouth as he raised an eyebrow at you.

"I didn't.... And you know who would keep a cupboard of food in a laboratory?" You inquired Bucky, as he shifted his body closer to you.

"World's self proclaimed genius and the most obnoxious man you'll ever meet in existence?" Bucky responded quickly, as you noticed a sly glint in his eye."Anyways, you haven't answered my question. What are you up to?" He asked again, this time hoping you would give him proper answer.

"I'm looking into the alien cell. I shouldn't be but i just can't help myself. There is so many mysteries that i can uncover and so many things i can discover. Here come take a look at this." You motioned him to come closer and take a look at the microscope. "See that? It looks a bit similar to a human's cell right? Now watch closely." You injected a bit of poison in the cell as he watched it absorb the liquid.

"What the hell was that?!" He exclaimed, his expression one with confusion and amazement.

"That's the alien cell absorbing the poison. Instead of going through the process of necrosis and apoptosis it adapts to any environment it's given. The cells are almost immortal as it also doesn't go through any form of cell division such as mitosis. It's like its stuck in interphase forever." You explained enthusiastically.

"Wow. I don't know what you said but that's amazing, i guess."

"It's almost like it's regenerating! This could save millions of lives! It could be a form to treat cancer or perhaps prevent it from ever happening! Like i said, it's an innovation." You spoke up, a large grin plastered on your face. "I just wish the others could understand...."
