Chapter 1:Mr. Hazel Eyes

"Katlynn do I really have to go out? I'd rather stay home and work." Isabel groaned
"Yes you have to go, Izzy. I don't even recall the last time you went out." Katlynn replied to her raven haired friend
Isabel sighed and grabbed her leather coat before following her blond roommate. Isabel was 5'4 and thin, her black hair was naturally curly, she wore black jeans, a skin tight red tank top her leather coat and combat boot and a grey beanie. As the two entered the club Isabel walked over to the bar and ordered a drink. Kate sat beside her friend and sighed.

"This is not what I meant." Kate grumbled
"Well this is what you get because I don't dance or party." Isabel replied looking around.
Suddenly her emerald green eyes locked with a pair of beautiful hazel eyes across the bar. The owner was maybe 5'10, with brown shaggy hair and well defined muscles under his shirt. He gave Isabel a cocky half smile when he noticed she was still staring. Isabel felt her pale face grow warm. The male's blond friend saw the interaction and grabbed the hazel eyed male's arm and dragged him over.
"Hello! My name is Bryce, and this is my friend Ryan." The blond explained
"I'm Katlynn and this is Isabel. Hey Bryce how bout we go and dance?" Katlynn said
The two blonds ran off leaving the other two alone. Isabel looked down at her hands slightly embarrassed.
" I take it that isn't your scene?" Ryan asked
"Not really." Isabel replied
"Mine either, let's get outta here." Ryan said standing
Isabel nodded and followed the taller out of the club. Isabel quickly texted her roommate. The two walked to a near by coffee shop. They sat across from each other at the booth. A waitress walked over and eyed Ryan before taking their orders.
"So I take it Bryce dragged you out to that club?" Isabel asked
"Yeah...he said I was acting all depressed since my most recent break up. How about you? Why did Katlynn drag you out?" Ryan replied
"Same, boyfriend broke my heart and a rib." Isabel replied
"Asshole. Anyway you seem like a nice girl...what do you do for work?" Ryan asked
"I'm a singer at the Blues bar on main street." Isabel replied
"Oh cool, I'm also into entertainment." Ryan said as their drinks were delivered.
The two sat and chatted for a while until the two blonds arrived laughing loudly. Ryan slid in beside Isabel so Bryce and Katlynn could sit down beside each other. Kate set her hand on top of Bryce's. Isabel felt a shock as Ryan's hand accidentally brushed hers. Isabel felt her face grow warm.
"Are you ready to call it a night? So we can call an Uber?" Kate asked
"We can give you ladies a ride back home if you want." Bryce said
"Is that okay with you?" Kate asked Isabel
"Of course." Isabel replied
"Then let's go, we'll meet you two at the car." Bryce said as Kate stood
The two walked out hand in hand. Isabel went to pay but saw Ryan had already paid. The two walked out beside each other.
"Thank you," Isabel said softly walking beside Ryan
"For what?" Ryan asked
"For the coffee and giving me and Kate a ride home." Isabel replied
"Well for payment you can give me your number and maybe go out with me again." Ryan said his tan cheeks turning crimson
Isabel blushed and wrote her number on the back of his hand. The ride to the girl's apartment was quiet. Isabel and Ryan sat side by side in the back while Bryce and Kat sat up front. Every once in a while the two blonds would sneak glances at each other. Once the girls got into their apartment Isabel felt her phone go off in her pocket.

(Unknown): sorry if I'm breaking some 24 hour rule that some people might have, but I was wondering what day will work for you.
(I): who's this?
(Unknown): Ryan, from the club
(I): oh...I work Monday - Friday 6pm - 1am...so any day before those times.
(R): Saturday evening okay?
(I): perfect, I'll talk to you tomorrow. I've got to go to bed, I've got work tomorrow.
(R): okay, talk to you then
Isabel sighed happily, and smiled down at her phone. She felt Kate look over her shoulder.
"So you've got a date with Mr. Hazel eyes on Saturday." Kate observed
"His name is Ryan and yeah I guess I do." Isabel replied putting her phone away
"Told you going out tonight would be good. And you tell Mr. Hazel eyes that if he hurts you I will personally casterate him. Anyway I'm going to bed, I'll see you tomorrow." Kate said before walking over to her room
Isabel sighed happily as she got up and walked into her room. She laid down on her bed and stared at her ceiling.
"I'm actually doing it Gram. I'm here, I'm singing in the blues bar...I've got a date with a cute boy and Troy is still in jail." Isabel said out loud.
Isabel fell asleep thinking about Ryan. For the first time in a while she fell asleep with a smile and a good feeling about the future.
