So. Overall, what is my lesson from this experience? I like bases. They are a cheap and easy way to not have to draw the body of a pony. However, I feel that they take away the authenticity. Sure if I want a pony done in the style of actual mlp, (which I often struggle drawing in that style) I would use a base. However, it is much more original to just draw your own character in your own style. In conclusion,
