I sat there, silent as I heard the thick screaming of a male. I turned to see a man, losing his arms. That must've been punishment for a bad thing he has done. My village has done this type before but nothing to the extreme. If misbehavior has occurred the man would just lose a finger, or maybe an ear, but two arms is very extreme. Maybe the man did some bad stuff... He must've done really bad stuff. That was least of my problems. I had hunters exams and I was going to make it this year. I've never tried before, so hopefully I won't have to take it again. I looked at the male, seeing how much pain he was in.

"Y/n!" someone yelled at me. I turned to see my mother. She glared at me and gripped my hair, pulling me from the sight of the guards whom had destroyed the poor man's arms. "The hell were you thinking! If they saw you looking...."

"I'm 18, stop pestering me," I grumbled. "And anyway, I'm leaving soon. "

"You're not going to become a hunter," she hissed at me.

"But I might fine true love," I hummed, knowing my mother was a sucker for that. She always wanted me to find a pretty, sweet, and lost woman and make her my wife, but I never agreed with her. I've always said there was no girl right for me, but she still hasn't got the hint yet. Maybe I do like women, I just haven't found the one... Most girls would just hit on me. I didn't like that about most women.

"W-What if you don't and accidentally die," my mother asked.

"Then I accidentally die," I sighed. I packed my two katanas in my bag and was on my way. My mother had stopped me one more time, her eyes full of tears and misery. She shook her head, signaling me not to go. Gripping my shirt she full out sobbed. I'm guessing she knew how dangerous Hunters Exam was. I ignored those sobs and tried to be as mature as I could, pulling her hand away from my shirt. I wrapped my arms around my mother and gave her the best hug I could, hoping it would comfort her, and I could already hear her sobbing subside.

"Please don't go," she managed to say. "I already lost one of you."

She was mentioning my brother. He didn't die by trying the Hunters Exam. He had done something much more dangerous that he got the whole family in trouble. Though the past is far behind me now and I don't need to bring that stuff up, nor does my mother. I didn't comment on her statement.

"I'm going mom," I sighed, letting go of her. "Take care will you...?"

I waved goodbye in hopes she'd wouldn't be miserable by herself. My father was at seas and couldn't tend to her needs, but when he comes back I'm sure I'll be a hunter!!!

SMALL EULOGY

I had met someone at the Hunters Exam I wish I would have never met. He's amazingly beautiful, but his eyes full of blood lust and death. I couldn't tell you how much I envied him, and I became friends with him. Though, we became more than friends, but not in a romantic type. Whats the word? Fuck buddies, if I'm not wrong. Even though I fell in love with him, all he thinks of me is some guy that has sex with him. I do try to get him to fall in love with me, but if I do, how could I ever bring him home? My mother would never accept a man to be my lover, and thats how it was...

Though I was going to deal with it as long as my sadomasochist was happy.

"I can be in two places at once!" I told the short, fat man. "Maybe even more if I tried..."  His name was Tonpa and he seemed to be a sketchy guy.

"Oh!" he had smiled, going into a bag. "A toast on getting this far, eh?" He handed me a soda can. I hummed and made another me. I handed it to me and I watched him drink it. Tonpa went silent.

"Just drink a little," I told myself. "I want some if it's not drugged."

Tonpa began to chuckle softly. "Heh heh," he smiled awkwardly.

"I heard people talking about you, Mr. Tonpa," I spoke calmly. "You are the rookie crusher right? Only here to ruin people's dreams. Stay away from me before I really get mad."

I heard my clone groan and grab his stomach. I smirked and rubbed it's back before letting him slip back into my body. I turned back to Tonpa only not to see him. I went blank for a second before sighing. I must've scared him off.  Well I did tell the creep to stay away. I shrugged and looked around, trying to find someone to talk to with no success. Most of the people here looked scary or a little to weird. Especially that Illumi guy. Every twitch give me shivers.

Though one male had caught my attention. He had red hair and face paint of a star and a tear. I sat there confused as someone bumped into him. The next few events reminded me of something back home, but the poor man's arms turned into flower petals. It was a beautiful, yet grim sight and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I looked at the male's face and my eyes widened.

"The blood lust in his eyes," I had muttered to myself. I had froze has his gaze had went towards me. He was awfully handsome, and I couldn't help but fall for him quickly. He smirked at me, causing my cheeks to heat up, but I snapped myself back together and rubbed my cheeks in shame. I began slapping my cheeks. "Stop being red!"

"Slapping your cheeks will only make the redder, " someone had said from behind me. I froze once again as the same feeling of blood lust was shifting through the air. I looked to the spot the male was and he wasn't there before, so this must be him. His voice was so deep and rich and it only made my face red as my mother's freshly picked strawberries.

I turned to see the male. His eyes were a bright yellow, causing me to see only his eyes at first. They really distracted me and that was all I could see. Those eyes... I questioned myself. Am I okay? Am I really being confronted by someone this dangerous? And if so, will I be okay?

"S-Sorry I didn't mean to eye you down," I manage to mutter out. It went kind of silent. Eyes were on us and I couldn't help but shiver. "I can make it up to you if you're alright with that..."

"Oh it's not that serious," he began to chuckle. I laughed awkwardly and softly, trying to just make him just leave me alone. "Oh so you are a shy one. You don't like when people look at you too much do you..?"

"I didn't think it'd be this crowded," I responded back, trying not to stutter.

"Well it is," he had sighed. "I'm just about ready to kill two more people if this doesn't star-."

Just before he could say start a man with a mustache and no mouth appeared. He told us to follow him and interestingly enough we did.

"I'll talk to you later, pal..."

My eyes widened.
