I run down the hall as fast as I can. I need to escape, NOW. Why don't any of the Monsters have the details of this blasted building?! I think privately, searching through every mind that I came into contact with until I found a new one with the layout of the building going through his thoughts. Yes! I finally found it! I think, imprinting it into my own mind.

I run and run down another long steel corridor, but stop suddenly when I hear growling and other animal noises from a door to my left. I concentrate and find the angry thoughts of three wolves. I carefully open the large metal door and peer in, seeing a large white room with a mirror and three wolves in small dog cages.

The first wolf was red/brown, the second wolf was white, the third was black. The white wolf was the smallest, but had the most spirit and the angriest thoughts, so I assumed that that one was the leader of the three. Be calm...I'll help you. I'm at the entry door. When you hear the click of the cage, run to the door. I tell them. They glance at the door I stand behind, and I look at them in turn.

I stretch my hand and will the cage doors to click open. They obey. The wolves hear the click and burst through their cages. I back away from the door as they run out of the room.

I turn and run when the wolves stand in the corridor, obviously disoriented and a bit confused. I look back and see that all three wolves look at me and follow. They know that I have the way out.

I, now, run with three wolves flanking me and the blueprints imprinted onto my brain. I continue to run with the wolves, on the way out. But I pause because I am still touching the minds of those we pass, and I touch the minds of three people in pain and anger.

We have to help them, or at least I do. I have to stop, I'm sorry. I tell the wolves. The white wolf looks at the red wolf, then the black, then back at me and nods. I give an apologetic smile and I look to the door I heard the thought from.

I open the large metal door, not unlike the other door I encountered that held the wolves. I peer in and see a room with a higher ceiling and three older kids pulling against chains on their wrists and ankles, the wings on their backs pumping madly. Each kid had a different color or type of wings, one had multicolored wings that mimicked a flame, another had black, leathery, dragon wings, and the last had strikingly white wings.

Be calm...please. I am here to help you escape. Let me help you, slow your flapping and lower a bit, otherwise you three will hit the ceiling. I tell the three winged kids. The looks on their faces was one of surprise at first, then of understanding and determination. They slowed their flapping and lowered, as I instructed. I raise my hand and concentrate on opening the cuffs on each kid. I successfully open the cuffs and release the three winged kids.

The one with the seemingly flaming wings smirked as the cuffs fell off of her wrists and ankles. She flew up to the ceiling and did aerobatic moves, the others did the same, I had no time for their fun. Please! Please, hurry! We need to escape now before we get caught again! I think to them and they swoop down to the door. I open the door as widely as I can, for them to fly out into the wide hall.

"Come on! We're close to the exit! But we have to go to the roof! That's the only way, without being caught in some way!" I yell to the three winged kids. "Ok. Lead on!" The one with multicolored wings shouts as she rears back, allowing me to take the lead. Now, I have three wolves and three winged kids following me.

"Search the rest of the building for more mutated kids!" I order the red and black wolves and the kid with the black wings. They nod and break off of the group. "I hope they'll be back..." I mutter as I run up the stairs.

The wolves and the dragon kid return with three more kids. "They look normal, but trust me!" The dragon kid shouts. I nod and keep running up the stairs. "This...is a bit...difficult!" The girl with white wings states. "Than run!" I shout the reply in slight annoyance to her and the other winged kids. They take my advice and run up the stairs along with me.

We see the doors that lead to the roof. I raise my hand and shove the doors off their hinges. The winged kids jump off the roof, falling for a moment before opening their wings and flying straight into the air and hovering over the roof and above us. I look around to the wolves and they are transforming before my eyes. The red wolf turns into a large hawk, the black wolf turns into a raven, and the white wolf turns into a snow owl and they take off as well, leaving me and the other normal looking kids on the roof by ourselves. Then, guards and the military march out and onto the roof.

I raise my hand and force them to be still, all of them momentarily, seeing as I am weak and fatigued. "Take the others!" I shout to the winged three. "Done!" They say in unison and each grab a kid. I loose my strength and lower my hand, my power over the men fading. "Come on, Gray. You're too weak to do shit." One of the men states with a smirk. "That's not true..." I say slyly and I turn and jump off the roof.
