Bullets fly pass my head as I duck behind a car. Three of them caught in the driver side of the car, and one in my ankle. I feel the warm, thick, red blood running down my left ankle, on to my foot. "Shit." I sat there waiting for the bullets to stop firing. As soon as they stopped I heard the other car, the bullets came from take off. I get up looking around. Clear. I run into the nearest building asking them to call 911. "We will call them. Sit down." The store clerk said. I sat down in pain. Minutes later paramedics, and the police arrive. Cops come over to me as I was getting medical attention, "Do you know who shot you?" I looked at them. "No I don't." The cop writes something down. "What's your name?" They ask me. "Can't you ask me these questions at the hospital?" Other officers were talking to bystanders. "We still need your name." The officer repeat. I huffed, "Ugh, Eli Bowles." I did not really like cops so to speak. My wife was killed by one in a shootout she wasn't involved in. The cop who shot her, got off Scott-free. She was brown haired, brown eyed, she loved books, and quite clumsy at times. Her name was Jennie Torres, the love of my life. "Medic two to dispatch." I heard the paramedic say over the radio, after that I passed out.

I woke up the next day in Rouge Dragon Medical Hospital. "Awake, finally. I'm Dr. McClellan." I look over to see a hologram of the doctor. "Yeah, I'm awake." I replied. "Well we saved your ankle, you'll be off of it for awhile. You lost a lot of blood, so we had to give you a transfusion during your surgery. Lastly, the police will have a few questions for you. Do you have any questions?" He asked me. I cleared my throat, "How much did I lose?" Dr. McClellan walked to the bedside. "Well, you lost enough to need a transfusion. Anymore questions?" He asked. I shook my head no, and he disappeared. Shortly after there was a knock on my door. "Come in!" I responded to the knock. It was the officer from the night before. "I'm officer Hornigold from last night, you may or may not remember me." He took a seat in the chair beside the bed. "I remember you." There was a short silence. "I have few questions for you." He says as he gets his pen and note pad out. "Go on and ask then." I responded. "Well, start off by telling me exactly what happened." I sat up, "Okay, I was walking down the street, and I noticed I was being followed. So I began to walk a little faster, as soon as I sped up so did the car. Next thing I know bullets are flying over my head." I started to sweat a bit. "No need to be nervous, we are just trying to catch these assholes." Hornigold said. I suffered from extreme anxiety, so being nervous wasn't the problem. "They've already been caught, you just haven't noticed." I responded. The reason I said that is because I know who they are, I know why they did what they did, I just can't tell them, because that incriminates me.
