You pulled yourself up onto the counter. Honey hopped up too, looking at with large eyes.
"I'm gonna be straight with you. I'm jealous of Haruhi. I mean, besides you and Mori-kun, no one else even so much as texted me. And then they all turn up here, for it turn out they'd all asked her to go elsewhere with them, and that they'd even flown a helicopter out here for her. I don't mean to be selfish. All I wanted were a couple of texts. Ha, maybe I should have gone with you and Mori-kun to Switzerland..." You found Honey's arms stretching around. He looked up with his eyes sad.
"I'm sorry, Y/N-chan! I'll get them all to apologise and the-..." You cut him off, shaking your head.
"Please don't. I don't want that. Them forced to acknowledge me. I didn't even want you to know I was upset over such a stupid thing..." Honey's arms tightened.
"It's not stupid. They're your friends, they should be nicer." You chuckled and hugged Honey, before jumping down from the counter. You lifted Honey down and started pulling things from the cupboard.
"Let's just let this go. You wanna decorate some cookies." You proclaimed, holding up the icing sugar. Honey jumped and nodded eagerly, earning him a giggle from you.
"Grab the sieve then."

Kaoru's POV (Dun dun dun)

I just found myself staring through the window. She seemed so happy with him. And here I was, the friend who forgot to even text her. I meant to. It's just the boss got us wound up about Haruhi. She acts like she doesn't care, but I know her. It's probably killing her. If it wasn't for Honey, I bet she'd have just left by now. I pulled my eyes away from the window as Hikaru called me. He'd been talking to the girls from earlier. We had a plan, but what made me feel bad about it was, it was for us to be with Haruhi. Well, it had been at the start. I guess now, if we win, I'd have to spend the time here making it up to her, even if she does act like there's nothing wrong. They'd finished in the kitchen now. There's a wonder were they've gone. My eyes focus back in as I notice Hikaru waving his hand in front of me.
"Hey, you still here?" He smirks. I smile and nod.
"Just thinking about the plan, that's all."

Your POV

You force Honey to find Mori. It's not that you didn't love the little guy being around, you just had a lot of work. You still had to help Haruhi with the sheets that had flown away earlier. You wandered out into the garden, when you heard the music. Tamaki was visible in the dining room window sat at the grand piano. He was actually rather good. You smiled at the music and continued towards the washing lines. Haruhi was there, picking up one of the many sheets around the place. You waved to her, catching her attention. She pointed towards the extra basket at the side, which you grabbed and proceeded to help her, after all, none of today was her fault. You managed to get all the sheets pretty quickly, so you followed behind Haruhi as you head back inside.
"Kaoru, you're out here alone? Where's Hikaru?" You snapped out of your thoughts as you heard Haruhi speak.
"He went to get some trash bags for us." Your gaze met with Kaoru's, causing you to look down as you followed behind Haruhi. She stopped, causing you to have to pause right next Kaoru.
"Do you still think you'll win?" You looked up. After all, you were still interested.
"I don't know." How helpful. You looked down again. Haruhi wasn't moving, and you couldn't go round her, so you just stood.
"Kyoya-senpai's created a monster. The boss didn't even know this place had a piano before he pointed it out to him." You heard the window click above you, but you gaze was still firmly planted on the washing in your hands. You'd zoned out, but it took seconds for you to register Kaoru's shout and your back slammed against the floor. Haruhi stood behind you, gazing down at the now broken vase. You looked up, only to find Kaoru hovering above you. Your face felt like a human radiator at that point. You could see his mouth moving but your mind was elsewhere. He pulled himself off of you as Hikaru ran up. You sat up, your hearing reimbursing in your ears.
"Kaoru! You're hurt let me see!" You just sat there.
"I'm fine. It's only alittle cut." His cheek was scratched.
"Hikaru." Hikaru's head was on his chest.
"Don't scare me like that." You could see it.
"I'm sorry, do you forgive me?" It was an act. He didn't really care. You stood up.
"I'm going." You murmured.
"Y/N! Wait!" You kept walking. It was only seconds before Kaoru's shouts were drowned out by Miss Misuzu. The music had stopped now. Though nothing had really unfolded, the realisation was crushing.

They'd done it all for Haruhi.

They wanted to win.

And they did.

Your door slammed behind you. You just sat in the middle of your room. This wasn't one of those cliche crying girl things. You just sat there. It was his choice after all. You just felt weird inside. You knew part of it was the jealousy. Maybe you just wanted the attention from him. You couldn't care less if Hikaru or Tamaki ignored you. Honey was great and Mori and Kyoya were like big brothers to you. But... You heard a knock on you door. You didn't even flinch. You just sat there. You had no care for whoever it was. You heard the door creak open behind you. You cursed yourself for forgetting to lock it.
"Y/N..." Kaoru. His footsteps. Stopped behind you. You back was facing the door. You just wouldn't turn round. He moved again, and just sat down in front of you. You looked up at.
"Hey." You didn't answer. You didn't even know what to say.
"You've got the right to be mad at m-..."
"I'm not mad." You cut him off. He stopped and his face dropped.
"Look. It's your choice. I can't be mad at your for wanting to spend time with Haruhi. She is a great person after all." You looked up at him and shot him a smile. He didn't return it.
"There's still something bothering you." You took in a sharp intake of breath. You pulled you knees up to your chest.
"You didn't even ask me where I was going, and I come here to find you all asked Haruhi to go on holiday with you. And I feel so bad about being jealous because it's your choice and I just-..." You felt Kaoru's arms fold around you as a few stray tears fell.
"I'm sorry. You shouldn't feel bad about it. It's our faults." His arms made their way to your back, making you flinch. Kaoru sat back, looking at his hand.
"It's bleeding again. It's my fault isn't it."
