Late Night : A Collection of Poems

Blue

There once was a girl who never seemed blue,

All happy and jolly but no one had a clue,

That smile on her face keeps people thinking she's okay,

Little do they know she suffers day by day,

They think that she's strong,

They don't know that they're wrong,

She can feel the pain but she never shows,

Her life's not pink dresses and fancy little bows,

People say she's immature, annoying a little brat,

Her mouth's never shut but they don't know that,

She's gone through more then what they can see,

And is stronger than they can ever be,

She's there for her friends and gives good advice,

Little do they know, she needs them likewise,

She seeks for attention that's never granted,

Unless there is something she can give that's most wanted,

She's not perfect, no she isn't pretty,

Nor is she like others who are unbelievably witty,

She just wants to be happy, to feel a bit wanted,

But fate is just cruel and by her past she is haunted,

They think they know her story but the riddles never end,

there's something she hasn't told she's good with pretend,

There's a monster that hurt her and she'll never forget,

That one day it did happen, because all "sorry" can ever show is regret,

She looks out the window with a soft song playing,

And slowly with it she knows she is dying,

This is the story of the girl who was blue,

But like the first paragraph said no one had a clue.

Author's Note:

I was reading some poetry here and I felt a bit poetic so I wrote a poem :) I decided to share it with you guys to know what you think. Am I a poet? (nudge nudge) Besides I think you deserve it after me not updating for a month. It's quite different from my other works but it's something. Anyway if you like it vote! Then comment what you think.
