When people claim that their hearts break, I believe they must have loved the ones the who loved to hurt. Now, they're bound waiting for a day that someone else will come along, and fix them... plaster back the remains of what should be left untouched, because nobody should be responsible for the pulverized particles of a self-inflicted heartbreak, than the self-inflicter themself.
That's the problem I have with love. It makes us vulnerable and dependent, a lesser versions of ourselves that subsizes to sweet nothings. And when it's gone, you become nothing... and you don't realize until after you've only had a quick taste, it wasn't so sweet after all.
It was so much simpler when Tag was just a childhood game, where both boys and girls could chase after one another, running mindlessly without overthinking what to do after you finally let yourself be the one to chase. And how Hide and Seek was just a mystery of finding someone who was waiting to be found, which was usually behind couch in the living room.
When we grow older, what we once enjoyed as kids has become the start
of love's existence:
One is chasing, and one is found.
And essentially the end:
One is running away, and one is hiding.
Yes, I am a coward. I'd like to spare myself some time by accepting it rather than denying. It's gotten to the point where I have trained myself to become immune to flirting or heartfelt compliments and cliché love letters from boys.
It would take a damn superhero to get me to fall in love.

ciao, i'm the creator of this story! (this story may or may not be shitty, i dont even know yet.
anyways, i'm not sure why i decided to write this. i guess i've been watching a lot of superhero movies and got inspired.
plus, since it's the summer for me and i have a month before i move into my dorm for college (yaaay, college), i guess i should kill some time right?
the prolouge is really short, and i still have no clue what im doing lmao.
also i'm gonna change the title of my story, i don't want people think i'm stealing ideas from other writters. it was just something i used for a starter name, inspired by the story Super(ish) by clarifications, go check out it!
