We walked in and Mark accidentally separated instantly, sighing, I walked inside a coffee shop and ordered an iced cappuccino then paying the cashier.

As I was walking, I realized I was alone this whole time, Mark, Felix nor Ken was not with me. Then I received two text messages from, the.....bank?

- Message -

"Hello Mr. McLoughlin, we would like to ask you if you did withdraw a total of $3000? Your account only has $93.70 which is not acceptable since our requirement for a leftover money on a credit card is at least $100. We would like to confirm this if ever you would like to disconnect your card? Thank you and have a nice day."

And with that, another message popped up.

"Hello Mr. McLoughlin, it seems that a guy with the name of Mark Edward Fischbach was the one who withdrew your total savings. Please confirm this problem."

And another.

"Hello Mr. McLoughlin, thank you for confirming this problem, the money is now sent to Mr. Fischbach's account."

- End of Message -

"What?" I silently mumbled. "Why Mark?" I felt tears run down my face as I did forget my wallet back at my house which contained my wallet.

I quickly texted Mark, pissed. After smashing a few letters I quickly smashed "Send" frustrated.

*ring*

Message? I thought to myself, message! Hmm, Jack?

"Hey Mark. Call me. Let's talk now." Received 5:47 PM.

I looked Jack's name in my contacts until I found his number, nervous, I touched call then held the phone up to my ear.

"J-Jack? What happened?"

"Tell me the truth Mark. You stole my wallet?"

"N-No I didn't! Why would I? Why even, wait why are you telling me this?"

"My bank said all my money in my Credit Card, $3000 was sent to your account."

"Tell me the truth Mark!"

"No really! I didn't, why would I, I never got hold of your wallet, please listen-"

"I'm sick of your reasons Mark! I worked hard for that and now you're stealing it? I'll call the cops."

"J-Jack wait!"

And with that, Jack hung up and I saw police cars approach the mall and a security guard grabbing my hands then handcuffs me.

"J-Jack? W-Wait, I can explain-"

"Save it for the police thief."

"How sad, Jack. I can't believe that your best-friend, Mark will steal your money." Signe fake sobs.

Wait.

- Flashback -

"Yeah! Forgot my wallet, see you!" Signe rushed outside.

- End -

That's it.

As I entered the car, I knew what I was going to do.

- Time Skip to the Police Station -

"So, Mr. Fischbach. Why did you steal Mr. McLoughlin's money?"

"I never stole anything! Believe me! I didn't!"

"Lower your voice Mr. Fischbach. That makes you more suspicious."

"We'll take all your credit cards for now and check if all of them has the money and we'll transfer it to Mr. McLoughlin's account shortly after that."

"Wait."

"I forgot another Credit Card in the mall, the green one. It fell beside the plastic tree ornament."

"Thank you for being honest then, Mr. Fischbach. Bring him to his cell, number 12. Make sure he eats."

"Yes chief!"

"Haha." I thought to myself. "Just you wait Signe, I'll only stay here for a day or two and you're next." I glared at Signe. I saw Signe smirking along with a puffy-eyed Jack beside her, I feel so guilty for not telling Jack that Signe stole his wallet on the way outside. But now is not the time, I might lose my chances.

Jack glared at me, coldly. My heart shattered into teeny-tiny pieces when I saw a tear running down his face.
