Chapter 18- First Mistakes For First Date

Start from the beginning

Leah zipped open a case and started to rummage until she took out a stunning black dress out. "Here try this on." I took the dress and went into my room to try it out. After changing into the black dress I looked at myself in the mirror before going to the girls. The sparkling gold sequin bodice didn't sit well with my bust as I ran my fingers on the bodice towards the beautifully gathered black A-line skirt to finish. I walked out into the living room and the girls started to talk at the same time.

"No way, I had better dresses than that."

"You bust looks really flat."

"It looks awful."

"Wow thanks girls for the wonderful compliments." I said sarcastically. Leah chucked a different dress at me which I caught before it hit the floor. I went into my room and looked at it, it looked awful but I tried it for the sake of it, it was a fake leather dress as soon as I tried I knew it looked horrible so I didn't dare look at myself before I walked out.

"Oh god! Where did you get these dresses from Leah?"

"BOOOO!" Shouted Holly as she chucked her popcorn at me.

"I don't like it."

"Do you guys really need to be so mean?" I snapped. "Honestly if I knew I was going to have to try awful dresses with your mean comments I never would have agreed to this date."

"We're sorry." Said Leah "Here try this on."

I went inside and changed into the dress. I looked in the mirror and I knew instantly that this was the dress for me. The Champagne colour complimented my skin tone. The dress was slightly longer from the back and the pleats over the bust gave an edge to the dress, the material was gathered from the waist which flowed down nicely. I walked out the room and said '"I think this is the one." I smiled at them but they all looked at me with wide eyes. "Does it look awful?" I asked worried.

"No that is perfect."

"Wow"

"You look gorgeous."

I smiled happily with the compliments. "Right Sally you go look for accessories while I do the makeup and Holly works on the hair. We only have an hour left." Announced Leah as she grabbed my hand and made me sit on the kitchen stool. "I promise you after we are done, Chris won't be able to keep his eyes away from you."

After some prodding and pulling, "Are you ready to check yourself out?" Leah asked softly.

"Yep."

"Okay open your eyes."

I opened my eyes to see myself in the mirror but the girl I can see looked more beautiful than I ever did. Holly curled my hair and had added some hair extension to make my hair longer. The makeup was so beautiful that I look flawless, Leah emphasised on my eyes with the black smokey look and left the lips with a nude colour.

"Thank you guys." I said as I hugged them.

"Here's your accessories, I found some nice champagne colour high heels." Sally handed me the shoes as I put them on, "I found these nice pastel colour bangles to go with your dress and these cute bow earrings."

"Thank you Sally." I smiled at her.

"Don't forget the handbag, please don't mess it it's my favourite."

"Okay I won't, I promise."

"It's time for you to get going." Announced Holly.

"Oh shit." I cursed, I had most of my attention on what I was going to wear, how I was going to look when I totally forgot the reason why I was dressing up. "It can't surely be the time." I asked worried.
