oikawa loved playing with iwa-chan, even though it would never last long.

the two eight-year-olds would run around the garden, playing yet another game of play-pretend, and loved it. even though after only one game, they'd have to lie down, for iwa-chan would have to catch his breath.

oikawa didn't mind, though. he'd take the opportunity to tell iwa-chan all about the stars and the moon and the sun and the planets in their solar system.

"see, iwa-chan? the sun's shining once again," oikawa smiled, looking over at his best friend. but his best friend was fast asleep.

so he whispered, "i told you the sun never stops shining."

he smiled up at the sun.

"neither will you. right, iwa-chan?"

he got no reply.
