The Grounded Bird

Chapter 2

A laugh was heard through out the room. Robin scowled and looked around, refusing to show fear. "It looks like Boy Blunder and his friends a are awake. The fun can now begin!" Joker said, bringing in an assortment of blades, a crowbar, some poisons, and a whip on a big table. "Now. Who wants to go first?" He asked with a big smile. The team kept their mouths shut and Robin kept scowling. The Joker dropped his smile. "Come on! Someone volunteer!" He said angrily. The team refused to speak. The Joker shook his head, then plastered on a big smile. "Well then, I guess I get to pick." He started laughing. "Well. You ready, Boy Blunder?" He asked, laughing. Robin's heart sunk and he had a bad felling about what was going to happen. The Joker called his goons in. "We need everyone to have a good view!" He said cheerfully. His goons moved the team so they were facing Robin. Their faces were full of worry, anger, and fear for what was about to happen. Once the goons were done, they left, and it was just the team and Joker. The Joker was bent over his table. "What to use, what to use?" He said cheerfully. He grabbed a medium sized blade and approached Robin. He grabbed the Boy Wonder's arm and started carving into it. Robin gritted his teeth but refused to show any sign of pain. The Joker finished his carving on Robin's arm and sliced the blade, slowly and deeply, across Robin's chest. Blood seeped through his suit and arm, making the team feel sick. The Joker finished with the blade and inserted a needle full of dark liquid into the boy wonder's other arm. "Let's see if this can make the bird sing." The Joker laughed. The team gasped and waited for something to happen. Robin glared at the Joker, before pain flared up. His insides felt like they were being ripped apart. He started thrashing around, gritting his teeth to keep from screaming. The pain got worse and Robin couldn't hold it back. He let out a scream of pain. The Joker started laughing like the maniac he is and the team watched on in horror. The pain died down 30 minutes later and Robin let darkness claim him.
