I sit in the hovercraft, looking over the the ground beneath me. I see people roaming streets, laughing and talking. My blonde hair is curled. It is damaged and dry from the many dyes I once used and my black jumpsuit is very different from the clothes I used to wear. My make-up isn't fluro pink, bright orange or a deep sea blue but rather a quiet nude colour. I have changed a lot since the games. Everybody did but especially people in the Capitol. Everyone looks more ordinary. We have equalled with the other districts. We are no longer superior.  I have come to District 12 to see my victors Katniss and Peeta. And of course Haymitch Abernathy. The love of my life. It wasn't always easy to get along with him, but ever since that day when he left the Capitol and we shared a kiss I haven't been able to forget the past and us. The hovercraft clunks to the ground and I am woken from my daydream. My hands shake as I step out of the vehicle. I start to feel dizzy as I make my way through the unfamiliar town. The square, the houses, the shops. None of this was here before the games. After it was bombed by the Capitol, District 12 lost everything. Well almost everything. I suddenly stop when I see the Victor's Village and take sharp breaths. I walk to the house that I know is Katniss's. I knock on the wooden door trembling.  A flustered Peeta answers the door and stops abruptly and gasps.

"Effie? Effie Trinket?" I nod and wrap my arms around him in a hug. "Katniss get out here." Katniss hurries to the door holding a little blonde boy in her arms. When she sees me her eyes fill with tear and she hands the boy to Peeta.

"Effie. Oh my god Effie. I can't believe it's you." A small girl runs to Peeta and grabs his hand and tugs on it.

"Daddy come play house with me!" she cries. Peeta shakes his head and she begins to cry.

"Prim,  not right now sweetie the adults need to have a talk."

"Primrose." I whisper to Katniss. She nods and inhales sharply.

"Have you seen Haymitch yet?" I look at my hands that are shaking uncontrollably and I suddenly am fighting to breathe. "Come sit." says Katniss pulling me towards the living room.

"Peeta can you please take Aiden to the other room please." Aiden starts wailing as Peeta take him away.

"You still love him don't you?" she says her eyes boring a hole in my soul.

"Um, I uh never did." I whisper wrapping my arms around my stomach that is flipping around.

"OH COME ON!" I look up to see Katniss and Peeta both staring at me. "It's so obvious that you love each other. And plus I saw you to kiss when I left the Capitol."

"You never told me that!" says Peeta coming to sit on the couch. "Effie you need to go to him!"

"I have never been a bridesmaid!" says Katniss excitedly.

"And I have never been a bride nor do I plan on being one anytime soon. I haven't seen Haymitch in ages and we have only kissed once." I stare at the floor and gulp. "What if he doesn't want to see me?" I say a single tear rolling down my pale cheek. Katniss wraps her strong arms around me and wipes away the tear.

"Nonsense." she soothes and stands up. "Tea?" I nod and stand up. I follow her into the kitchen. A vase of white roses sits in the kitchen and when I see it I scream.

"KATNISS. WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE WHITE ROSES." Katniss shushes me and whispers softly.

"It surprisingly helps me heal." she sniffs the strong perfume. In another vase sits primroses and rue flowers. "And that just makes me sad." she says laughing light-heartedly. I rub Katniss's shoulder and sigh.

"Now I know you miss Prim, Rue, Cinna, Finnick etc. But do you miss Gale?" Katniss shakes her head and then nods before again shaking her head.

"I don't know. I love him to bits but, he killed Prim. Even if it was by accident." I nod and look around the clean house.

"I should go Katniss. To see him." she nods frantically and pushes me to the door.

"Go see him!"

I stumble down the gravel road past the many houses built for victors of the games. I see the house where Haymitch lives and I stop abruptly. I can't do this!  I find my feet spinning around heading back for Katniss's house. Come on Effie! I turn back around to Haymitch's and walk onwards. My heart is pounding and my knees are knocking. All I can think of is him. I stumble up the stairs to his house. I hold my fist up to the door, but quickly pull it away. I sit on the steps and thrown my hands up. Why? Why am I so nervous? I am just about to head back when I hear the door open behind me.

I stand there staring at him not knowing what to say. His long blonde hair blows in the wind and his soft pink lips are fixed in a smirk.

"Haymitch?" he rolls his eyes and his whispy voice fills the air. Oh how long I've died to hear that voice.

"Who'd you think it was?" he says smiling.

"Haymitch" I say again.

"Effie you look so different. Plainer." he says staring at me sadly.

"Everything changed after the games. Including us." I say looking back at him.

Hey guys! I am really happy! I have 6 followers already, which may not seem a lot but I only got a Wattpad account like last week. I am really excited about this book. I hope you like the names of Katniss and Peeta's kids. I know her daughter's name is kinda cheesy but hey. I hope you don't mind that I changed Effie and stuff. Thanks for reading comment, vote and I love you<3
