Peridot's POV
Lazuli hasn't talked to me in what feels like ages. She's not even here! Is she ignoring me on purpose? Maybe I said it all wrong! I hope not. Wait! What if she's just.. Doesn't like the barn anymore? Maybe we should switch sides! Well.. It is getting cold lately.. Earth is weird like that. But hopefully it gets warm again so she can come to the barn again and hopefully talk to me..
I start to think about what happened..
~ le flashback ~
Lapis gives me a concerned look. "Seriously, what is it? You can tell me anything."
"I-I um.."
I begin to glow and finally blurt it out.
"I like you!!" Oh my gosh! I said it. What if she says no?! I'll move away! And never come back! I'll be too embarrassed to even stay!
She widens her ocean colored eyes and looks away. "Well.." Her cheeks turn a bit darker blue. "Look I-"
I start to tense up.
"I.. Have to go." Her wings burst from her back as she flies away in the clear blue sky..

~back to le present~
I begin to get worried and start to freak out a bit.
"What am I going to do?! It's been like.. A week!"
"Um.. Peridot?"
I turn around.
"Oh.. Hey Steven." I look away. He's the first and only one to figure out that I had feelings for her. Well, it's true that the other gems like Garnet, Pearl, or Amethyst are always busy so I guess it makes enough sense for him to be the first to know. Except for Lazuli since I told her..
"Hey! Oh.. I guess you're still mad about that..?"
"No! I'm not mad! I'm just kind of nervous that she's avoiding me on purpose!"
"Avoiding?"
Steven was sort of the only person I could trust since I knew that Amethyst would blurt it at her face, Pearl would make it too obvious, and Garnet.. Well.. She's really busy. But I trust her so maybe I should tell her about it too.. I don't really want to tell a lot of people though..
"Well.. For about a week now. Maybe I did something wrong? Did I say it wrong? Maybe she didn't like me and had to get away from me! Maybe I didn't say it like I was supposed to! Lazuli might have been hurt!! OH MY GOSH!!"
"What? Of course not!" He smiles. "You confessed and it went better than how I confessed to Connie!"
"But Connie didn't run away, DIDNT SHE?"
"Hm.. True.. Maybe Garnett will help!"
"Wait I don't want her to kno-" He grabs my arm and runs to where the other gems are while dragging me behind.
"GARNET!! Are you about to leave?"
The gem turns around and smiles. "No, we just came back. Do you need something?"
"WELL PERIDOT IS IN LOVE WITH-" A hand clamps over Steven's mouth.
"MYYY TAPE RECORDER!! TOO BAD IT BROKE, HUH?! HAHA.." I look around nervously as Garnett crosses her arms.
"We already know, Peridot. We can help you with Lapis."
"How did you-"
Pearl laughs as Amethyst smirks. "You think that we can't hear you talking constantly about her on that tape recorder? Oh I miss her so much! When she comes back we're going to get married and fuse forever like Garnet!" Amethyst does the best Peridot imitation she can and starts bursting out with laughter.
