Jerry had to learn how to be a single parent he had no help all of his family lived on the other side of the country or were departed. Jerry was a police officer for the Toronto police department he had to take a leave of absence from his job after Pamela left , he was getting used to his new baby girl who was growing up really fast. Eight months after Pamela had gone Jerry had started looking for babysitters for Avery because he simply couldn't take anymore time off of work. He left want adds in the paper for babysitters offering $8.36 per hour which is when he started setting up meetings to make sure he found the perfect babysitter for his daughter. After going through every weirdo in town he finally found the perfect babysitter, her name was Christine Coleman she was a friendly woman who had just lost her job at a daycare company, she had dirty blonde hair brown eyes and was about 5'6" tall. It helped that Jerry found her rather attractive.
