Chapter 17: Freedom!

Could he be wanting to tell me he liked me?

"Alec," I growled,

"Okay it was," he leant toward me pressing his lips to my ear, he said, "I think that your really pretty," he said, I blushed, he nodded at me and I just looked at him I finished my apple, why did he complement me? "I don't think that's true," I said, he threw his apple to the bushes, "Want me to show you?" He asked, I blushed what would that be? "And how would you show me that?" I asked, he pushed my bag out of the way, and pulled him closer to me, "Well first I'd kiss you here," he kissed my neck I moaned, "Then here," he kissed above my breasts, "Then I'd kiss you here," he kissed my stomach, "And here," he kissed my scar I winced, it still hurt a bit. "Then I'd whisper in your ear everything I liked, and maybe bite it," he nibbled on my ear, "Your eyes, your scars, your laugh, your body, your personality," he kissed along my jaw I closed my eyes, letting myself fall into the kisses. His lips met mine, his hand grabbed the small of my back and laid me down gently, he leaned over me our bodies mere centimetres from mine, then our bodies touched, lips smacking, bodies crashing, hearts beating happily, our hands wondering. "Alec," I whispered into his ear, "Yeah?" He asked leaving a trail of kisses down my body, "I....i...."I started, do I tell him it felt right now but, what would he do? "I really need to take my pills," I said, coming up with an excuse, "Oh yeah sure," he said rolling over and checking the time I grabbed my pills and took them. "We should be getting back or we're going to miss lunch," Alec said, I nodded and we started packing up. Why did I have to ruin that perfectly good moment? I should've just told him, I needed to tell him. We walked down to the tent in silence then joined our friends at a table, we sat across from each other avoiding eye contact.

In our tents that night Sarah and Jess proceeded in telling me what I missed. "Do where were you?" Jess asked, "Yeah where'd you go?" Sarah asked, "Well Uhm," I wondered if I should tell them, of course I should we're best friends. "Well Alec and I hung out," I said, they raised their eyebrows, "Hung out?" Sarah asked, "Well it was more like we made out," I said, Sarah handed Jess twenty bucks, "What?" I asked, "What you like him right?" Jess asked gabbing a handful of popcorn, "uhm........... yes" I said, they clapped, "She said you wouldn't like him I said you would," Jess explained to me, "So you bet on me?" I asked, "Yeah anyways tell us," Sarah said clapping. "Well after we made out the first time at the river, we decided to go for a walk, where he then explained to me he was supposed to take me on a date but wasn't going to ask me so I couldn't reject him, and after that we made out again, and I screwed it up," I said, "Did he try to get in your pants?" Jess asked, Sarah made a fist and punched her hand, "No, no, no, he was really sweet, I just I was going to tell him I liked him but, well I chickened out and told him I needed to take my pills," I said waving the bottle then took one for bed time. "Oh no that's okay, you guys will figure it out." Sarah said I snuggled into my sleeping bag, and passed out twenty minutes later.

The guys were passing cash around even before I started telling them, "Okay are you guys ready now?" I asked, "Dude we already know, you guys made out," Joe said, "Yeah," I said, they high fives me, "But how far did you go?" Dylan asked, "Nothing past kissing," I said, "Awe," Dylan said, "Hey I know she's still a virgin and I respect that," I said, "Good man," Joe said clapping me on the back. "Did you tell her?" Joe asked, "That I like her? No," I said, "Pussy!" Dylan shouted, "Hey have you ever told a girl you liked her?" I asked, "Yeah many times," Dylan said, "Well Riley's different and I've never had a crush before, plus I think she was going to tell me," I said looking down at my hands. "What?! that's awesome!" Joe shouted, "She started stuttering then she told me she had to take her pills," I said, there were ohhh's around the tent. "Well maybe tomorrow, so you guys are definitely a thing though," Joe said, "Yeah, I think," I said, "Well have you popped the question?" Chase asked, "Ummm no," I said, everyone sighed, "Bro we thought you were today," some more bills were passed around the room, I sighed. "I know I'm sorry I just feel so intimidated around her," I said. The other guys headed back to their tent answer all went to bed. The next morning I was awakened by the sound of the guys getting ready to go, "Woah where you gust going?" I asked, "Apparently there's a mandatory announcement hurry up," Dylan said I through on a shirt and shorts with my runners, then follows the rest of the crowd out of the campsite. We sprinted to the tent, "So now you understand?" Tiana said she was standing on a table, and staring at Riley, Toby beside Tiana on the ground. Riley looked scared I ran up to her an hugged her shoulders, tears slipped down her cheeks, "Hey what's going on?" I asked, "What's going on?" Tiana asked, "I'll tell you what's going on, that stab mark that Riley bears on her left hip, that wasn't put by someone else. Riley put that their, she tried to kill herself to get more attention from her ex boyfriend Toby Sameson. She wanted to take his virginity, then get pregnant so she could blame the baby on Toby. Alec Rinder do you see what a back stabbing bitch she is, and you like her, disgusting. She is an attention whore, Alec you don't want her, no you want me, I know you do." Tiana spat I looked down at Riley who looked fragile, I grabbed her bridal style and started to sprint away from here anywhere so she was away from Tiana that liar. "No stop," Riley demanded I stopped and set her on her feet, she started to storm back to the tent I grabbed her wrist. "Where are you going?" I asked, "To tell them the truth, I won't let her do this to me, she is the bitch," She said pointing to the tent, I tried to think of something to say but, so many things were going through my head. "You don't believe her do you?" She asked, "No I don't, just don't go back you'll get hurt more," I said, "And let her make a fool of me with irritable lies, na uh that ain't happening. I thought you of all people would understand and help me, but I guess not," she said rifling her wrist from my arm, she started to walk off, I grabbed her arm again and kissed her, "I'll help you," I said, so we walked hand in hand back to the tent where Tiana was still blabbing on. I helped her stand up on the table Tiana was on. "Yes it's me the attention whore, virginity steeler, backstabbing bitch, and whatever the hell else you've said, Tiana," Riley spat at Tiana, "But I'm here to tell you the real story, I'm here to tell you that you've been horribly miss informed," Riley said staring at Tiana and walking towards her, Tiana stepped back but, dared Riley with her eyes to go on. "Who here knows that Tian lost her virginity in grade 8?" Riley asks, "And who here knows the real story?" She asks I put my hand up, "You see when j was in grade nine I fell in love with Toby Sameson maybe you know him, well in the summer after grade ten, Toby gave Tiana his virginity, where as that day we were supposed to loose it that day," Riley says, "It didn't happen, Tiana got pregnant from Toby, an Tiana threatened to tell all of you that Toby got Tiana pregnant on purpose if he didn't stab me. Toby Sameson stabbed me at the beginning of this year,  Tiana aborted the baby. She killed a human being before they had the chance to live because of her own selfish reason." Riley said, Tiana looked astonished that she actually told, she stepped down from the table, I jumped up beside her. "So Tiana I'm sorry, if you don't understand when people like each other, you won't get Alec because he doesn't want a gal who kills babies and makes other people stab others. So there you go ladies and gentlemen that is the full story, the truth, thank you," Riley says taking my hand, and pulling me down off the table, people turn to Tiana, and others clear a path for Riley and I to leave through. We walk down the same way I took Riley, I grab Riley by the hips and meet our lips, "Good?" She asked, "You were really good," I said, we kissed, "So now how do you feel about me?" She asked, "I think for the first time in my life in crushing hard on you," I said she bit her lip and smiled, "I think I'm crushing even harder on you," she said running her fingers down my shoulder, wait did we just confess we liked each other? "And if your wondering we did just confess that we like each other," Riley says reading my thoughts, I smile, "Date me?" I ask, "Okay," she says, I smile and she does to, "We should probably get back," Riley said, "Or we can hang out here for a while," I say kissing her neck. She grins again, "Alright," she says, bringing my face to meet her lips.
