"If I had one wish
This is what It would be,
I'd ask you to spend all your time with me,
We'd be together forever" she said, dying.
With all her might she beckoned him closer and kissed him. He was crying so was she... this was their last kiss and she whispered "I love you, forever and always! Be happy and move on. This is my last wish" one look at his face, she smiled and said "don't cry because I'm dying..........smile because I lived" with that she pursued her journey above while he watched the light leave his lovers eyes.................he cried
"Everyone is obsessed with the thoughts of living large, being remembered, and outlasting death. I am, too. It bothered me....being unremembered I wanted to like all the others, live big, be remembered but then I met Anaya. She was the least bothered by being forgotten all she was focused on was living. She wanted to explore and she did! Those who knew her knew how accident prone she was. I remember her being unconscious for 2 days after a huge accident. I sneaked into the ICU to see her and as I held her hand I hoped she would die....because the injuries were too severe she had to bear too much pain....but I also wished for more time so we could fall in love. I guess my wish was fulfilled. Being with her was pure bliss. All the adventures and love. I couldn't be happier. Sure she was not known by many but she was loved deeply if not widely. She left her scar along with mine. Our little 'Zia'. All I want to say is 'I will always love you Anaya.' And I am grateful I had you in my life"
As he turned away from the mic. A soft pitter patter of feet could be heard down the aisle followed by a 'daddy'. Little Zia ran into her father's arms and said 'I wanna share this poem with mommy'
"Sure, baby go ahead" he encouraged
Taking a deep breath Zia started
"Why did you have to go die?
I didn't even get to say goodbye....
God must have thought you were special to take you away
But couldn't he wait for another day?
But it is not your fault mommy.
I will miss you and I love you mum"
Wiping the tears off Zia's cheek he smiled weakly reassuring her. "So will mommy, baby so will mommy"
