-pic of Cheyenne: Selena Gomez🎀

Cheyenne flinched as another glass of wine was thrown over head.

"You stupid bitch! It's your fault that she is no longer with us! ALL YOUR FAULT!" He screamed yet again, throwing another glass, this time the entire wine bottle over her head.

Cheyenne only sat on the floor, tears falling down her puffed cheeks, watching as her drunk father cursed her name and blamed her of all that has happened to his deceased wife.

I can't do this anymore. She silently chanted in her head. I can't live like this.

She watched as her father continued to throw glass all over the place not caring that he was hurting his daughter. Hurting his only child.

After all Cheyenne knew her father stopped loving her all those years ago when he started coming home late, always drunk. She thought by now the drinking would stop and he would move on but it never happened.

This all started back when she was so fresh in being a sophomore at school. She remembered that day as if it was just yesterday...

{FLASHBACK-in first person}

"Cheyenne are you coming over tonight? My mom says it's been forever since she last seen you ever since... you know."

I shook my head, knowing what she meant. It had been exactly two months since I lost my mom and I just couldn't imagine the thought of going to a sleep over let alone have fun. I cried so hard last month that all I could do is just stare at my mother's grave and pray that she's in a much better place. Preferably in God's care. I knew God took away my mother for a reason and I was glad that she was not only going to be extract from the pain she was in but she was going to feel a whole lot better knowing she won't ever have to get sick again.

I believed in God and I give thanks to him everyday for keeping my father and me alive as we continue to live out the years we were so blessed with.

I smiled at the memory and answered my friend, Kayleen's question. "No I can't. I got a lot of homework to do and I have to study for this quiz we have on Monday."

Kayleen frowned a little but nodded her head. "Okay, see you Monday Chey!" I waved goodbye as I stepped into my house, and watched as she continued down the side walk crossing the street and riding her bike home.

I entered the house and closed the door behind me. "Dad! I'm home!" I didn't wait for a response so I headed into my room to start on my homework.

"Ugh why does math gotta be so hard?" I said aloud, almost laughing at how I'm actually talking to myself.

I decided to go downstairs to grab a healthy snack. Maybe that will help me study.

I made my way into the kitchen but abruptly stopped when I heard a loud crash. I literally ran down the hallway and stopped at the opening of the kitchen.

Dad was running a hand through his hair and I could see empty glass bottles shattered on the floor near his feet.

I approached him slowly. "Dad are you... okay?"

His head shot up and he walked over to me, looking pissed. "No I'm not okay. I will never be okay!"

He grabbed my arm roughly and pointed a finger in my face. "You took her away from me! It's your fault she's all gone!"
