Eliza thought over what her friend just said before nodding in understanding, "Just one day Nora, maybe you will like him. You never know, just give him a chance."

Nora decided to change the subject, "How's it going with Marcus?"

A sigh left her lips,"Yesterday we decided to just chill, watch a movie and drink some wine. Mrcus called his older brother to go to the store and pick some wine but you know I can only drink than one bottle only. But I didn't remember the name, I only remember the style. So I got up from the couch and he just grabbed my hand and got all angry 'My brother is bringing us wine, where the hell are you going?' So i snatched my hand away from his and still went out to buy my wine. When I got back he blatantly ignored me and told me to leave in the middle of the movie."

"And you still don't want to break up with him."

"Not this again," Eliza rolled her eyes.

"You still haven't apologized for being an asshole yesterday."

"Okay, I acknowledge that. I was too harsh with you. I am sorry," Eliza admitted truthfully.

"You are forgiven," Nora smiled and patted her hand.

"So what happened yesterday? We missed you on Skype. You hardly said anything and I got to know Diesel and Devon without you."

Nora's gaze drifted to the side as she pulled the sleeves of her sweater over her hands, "I had some problems to take care of."

A knowing look crossed over Eliza's face, "Are your parent's still fighting?."

"Parent," Nora quickly corrected her friend, Tanner was by no means a parent to her, "But yes, they have been yelling so much lately. Yesterday Tanner even threw a vase- well maybe it fell but knowing Tanner he probably threw it in rage." Nora was glad that Eliza didn't know anything about Nora's adventures to Vin's house. For once her mother fighting with Tanner had benefited her.

A gasp left Eliza's lips, "And your mother is still together with him? I understand that they have been married for ten years now but your mother is clearly unhappy with the marriage."

Nora clicked her tongue, "Reminds you of someone, doesn't it?"

"Anyways, Diesel and Devon are really great guys. I can see us becoming close. They were so open and talked so freely, well Diesel wasn't as talkative as Devon, but it was fun. I hope you can join us today."

"Yeah.." Nora wasn't going to mention that she had talked with Diesel the previous night.

Nora spun around in her chair, staring at the ceiling. Her earphones were on but they didn't block out the noises behind the door.

"I don't have a lover, Tanner please understand that."

Nora pressed the volume button on her phone to the maximum, her ears starting to hurt from the loud music booming from the earphones. But she was willing to suffer so she wouldn't have to listen to the next room scream-off.

From the corner of her eye she saw her laptop screen blinking and she lifted her head.
