CHAPTER ONE

I wake up to the feeling of my face pressed against the cold concrete floor. I blink a couple times, taking in my surroundings. The room I'm in is small and dark. I sit up.

To my left a sits a small sink. Next to it is a toilet. At least, what I think is a toilet. All thats there is a bucket with a lawn chair over it. The lawn chair has a small hole cut into it. The bucket has been placed under the hole.

Across the room in the back left corner is a makeshift bed, consisting of blankets and a single pillow. I walk over to it. The blankets smell and the pillow has some sort if red stain on it.

"No human should be kept in these conditions." I say to myself. "Where am I anyway?"

I startle to the sound of a lock being opened. I turn around and see the large steel door opening. Light pours into the room and I am finally able to see it clearly.

A woman walks into the room. She is short and thin but has one of those 'don't mess with me cause if you do you'll regret it' looks.

"Hello Lola. I hope you find your room to your liking. Regardless it's the only one your getting so it really doesn't matter if you like it or not. Now, I don't mean to sound crude, but will you please put these clothes on? I don't particularly fancy yours and next time I see you well, I'd like it to be more pleasant." She said.

"Why you little-" she cut me off.

"Now now. Lets not get feisty! I was just giving you some tips. After all, I do think I have a wonderful fashion sense."

"Who are you?! What do you want? Why am I here?!" I asked.

"You are here because you possess a great power unlike any other. Not very many people possess it. I want to help you with your power. To teach you how to use it. As to who I am... you'll learn that later." She smiled. "Now, I shall leave you to your thoughts. I know this is a lot to take in. Please get dressed while your at it." With that, she walked out of the room shouting behind her, "And dear, turn on the light! I don't know how you can live in the dark like that!"
