They were catching up. She ran. She ran as fast as her legs could possibly carry her. Ignoring pall others around her, she pushed on. Eventually, she came to a corner leading into a dark alleyway. She quickly made a sharp turn and she hid behind a dumpster within the alleyway, hoping her pursuers hadn't seen her turn the corner, as she sat, motionless. Barely breathing, she payed close attention to all areas in the alley. She held her breath as she saw those chasing her down run past the entrance. She exhaled heavily in relief, as they hadn't seen her crouched behind the dumpster. Her back slid against the rough, brick wall as she sighed. For what seemed to be forever, she just lay there, thankful that they hadn't gotten hold of her. Her breathing was heavy, and her heart was racing. Eventually, she got up. Eona was tired of this, happening every day after school. She sighed as she started out of the alleyway and headed towards her friend's house.

Eona had arrived at her best friend's home and walked up to the door. She knocked loudly on it. After a few moments, she could hear the thud of her friend rushing down the stairs to answer the door. Eona laughed as she heard the loud noise of her friend slipping falling down on the ground. Her friend got back up and opened the door. "Hey! Ow..." her friend had cheerfully said while rubbing her damaged chin.

"Looks like you had quite the fall, didn't you?" Eona had said whilst giggling a bit.

"Ha, ha. Very funny," Eona's friend had said while rolling her eyes. "Come on in."

Eona laughed quietly as she entered her friend's home. Even though she had seen the house inside and out all the way, and knew it like the back of her hand, she always found the home refreshing and comforting in some way. Eona placed her backpack to the side, then plopped on to the couch off to the side of the living room.

"What should we do first?" asked her friend while sitting besides Eona.

"Well, Jenna, I think we should first do our homework at least," the girl answered politely. "Seriously. I have more homework tonight than usual, and I intend to finish all of it."

Jenna had somehow turned herself upside down on the couch without Eona noticing at all. "Is there something wrong with you? You usually aren't this polite, unless if..." the brunette's voice trailed off for a second as she got back into an upright position and started thinking with an angered expression on her face."Those brutes were chasing you again, weren't they?!"

Eona looked away. "O-of course not..." she said as she stuttered over her own words. "I'm... Just concerned about my grades! That's all!"

Jenna looked at her friend as though Eona was just a plain idiot. "I've known you for almost all of my life, and never have you EVER cared about you grades ONCE!" she said, making it clear that her friend was obviously lying."EVER. Not even ONCE."

Eona gave up on resisting. "Y-yeah... They were... So what?" she asked as though she didn't know at all what her friend was going to answer. "It's not like it effects you at all..."

All Jenna did was glare at her friend and say,"If they dare mess with you EVER again, I will slam their face into their desks." She said this with full seriousness. Eona just sighed. Jenna could sometimes get a little too protective over her friends. Eona knew this head on, since she had seen her friend almost kill someone with her own eyes for messing around with her friend. It wasn't a very pleasant sight. Not to say she was a Yandere at all, or anything. She was just... Very, very protective.

Jenna knew about how Eona had been being chased down by a group of bullies from their school almost everyday after school. They bullied Eona since she was so different and didn't care for looks. Despite this... Let's just say she was the envy of the girls, even though it may not seem as though that would be the case. Eona was "aquatinted" with many people at her school, but none of them were extremely close friends like Jenna was. Just people she could hang out with as a substitute for the lack of a best friend, just in case. They would never be able to fully fill in for her best friend though.  They just aren't exciting enough. There is still the occasional enemy encounter, though.

Anyways, they brought their backpacks over to the table in front of the couch and began working on their homework assigned to them. It was not a fun time.
