"It restarts the brain?" Lori asked
"Just the brain stem. The part that makes you, the human part, that doesn't"
We watched as a bullet flew through the test subjects brain.
"I don't know what it is. The infection. I've been in the dark for almost a month" he admits
"So there's nothing left? No hope? That's what you're saying, right?"
He stayed quiet. We all did.
"That clock. I can't help but notice, it's counting down" Dale asks "what happens at 0?"
"The basement generators run out of fuel" Jenner answers
"What happens then?" Lori asks but he doesn't reply "Vi, what happens when the basement generators run out of fuel?"
"A plant wide decontamination will occur" Vi responds
"Man, I'm gonna get shitfaced drunk, again" Daryl says to himself
Rick, Glenn, T-Dog and Shane went to check the generators while everyone else went to their rooms.

"You gonna tell me what happened with Shane?" Ana asked me
"Nothing" I say
"Something happened. You saw his face"
"He saw my scars, okay?"
"So you smashed a glass in his face?"
"He touched me"
"Isabelle"
"Not anywhere bad. He tried to but I ended it" it stayed silent, there was nothing to say. "You feel that? The air conditioning turned off"
I walked to the door and stepped into the hallway, I was met with the others faces and Jenner walking down the hall.
"What's going on?" I ask
"The building is shutting off all non essential power uses. This wing is shutting down" he says and takes a wine bottle from Daryls hands and takes a swig and we follow him into the main room.
"What can a building do?" Daryl asks
"You'd be surprised"
"Lori? Carl?" Rick calls from below
"We're okay" Lori tells him
"What happening?" He asks climbing up the steps
"The power use is being prioritized. The computers stay until the last minute. The French. They were the closest to the cure before the power went out. We've got 30 minutes left"
"Grab your things. We're leaving!" Rick instructs but alarms blare and the door closes. "Open the door!" Rick yells
"There's no point in struggling"
"Open this door! Let us go!"
"Once the doors closed I said they wouldn't open again. You heard me say that"
"What happens when that clock hits zero?" I asked
"The air turns to fire. It's better this way. You die in a millisecond. No more pain, no more suffering, it'll all be over" he says as if he's convincing me to commit suicide but it wasn't working.
Daryl and Shane bang at the door with guns and axes.
"That's made to withstand a rocket launcher" Jenner says
"You know what man?" Daryl runs over "you better keep your mouth shut!" He yells with an axe still in his hands.
Ana head butted him off and away from Jenner. I wouldn't care what he did with Jenner at this point. Shane runs over next and points a gun at Jenner who was seemingly calm.
"If you pull that trigger. We won't have any chance!" I tell him
He yells and fires at all of the computers before Rick took his gun.

At this point we had about 5 minutes left.
"What do you want? Why do you want to go out there?" Jenner asked
"A chance" Lori says with sadness in her voice
Jenner turns to his computer, he presses a few buttons and the doors open.
"Go. Let's go!" Shane yells and we all flee.
