chapter one

Campbell's p.o.v

I sat down next to the fan. It was 8 a clock, a Tuesday summer day. First day of summer and we were having a pool party later on in the day.
Jake was reading the paper and John was making toast. He had put something special in Dave's piece. Dave was just walking down the stairs. He just woke up.
Jake and John were normally here when Bro was gone. They had gone to we think New Jersey to meet up with their friends.
"Oh my god! John! Your so dead!" I heard Dave yell from the kitchen. I looked over from the fan to see Dave smirking evily and crouched down, ready to chase John if he ran. Jake laughed.
"Be quite mates. Don't want to wake the Tangerine Terror." He laughed a little.
"Too late." A voice called. Jake gasped as a hand meet his shoulder. I looked at the two. They had been dating for 5 years and Dirk had finally gotten a ring! I was there to help pick one out!
"How breakfast?" He asked laughing. He ran a hand through his spiky hair. His orange eyes darted to the sink area of our kitchen. I looked to see Dave.... with his head attached to the sink.
"John put hot sauce in his toast." I said getting up.
"Gosh! Campbell your quite!" Dirk called out. I was the only Stider with the long name. It didn't even start with a D! It was a long story.
"I do try!" I called out. I walked past the two love birds. I ruffled Dirk's hair. It was hard but I did it. I walked to my room. There was 3 rooms to this house. The twins shared one. Dave and I was those twins.
I closed the door and got dressed for the party. My long white hair was french braided. It reached my waist, a little past it. I got out my silver bathing suite that was a bikini top. The top was a little reveling but the bottoms were an old pair of Dave's. I really liked them. Being the only girl was kinda hard, i always tried to be like them.
I had my nails done. They were a silver white color. They looked like my eyes. Each Stider had different colored eyes. I had whiteish silver.
I walked out and down stairs. Our house was smallish but had a large pool.
"Okay, no Con Air is better!" I heard John yell.
"No My little pony is!*I think that's something he'd watch*" Dirk said back. Jake and Dave must have been cleaning. Suddenly the door bell went off.
I walked to the door. I opened it. 4 people walked in. Nepeta, Roxy, Jane, and ...Jade.
I've known Jade since I was little. I've always... kinda liked her. See Striders in my generation were all gay. Even me.
Back to the story.
Nepeta ran in and jumped on the back of what looked to be Dirk.
"Dirk!" She yelled. * yeah not doing the texting thing sorry*
"Hey Kitty Ka-" A voice said. *thought it be cute to have them be friends* It wasn't coming out of the body she had in her arms. Dirk walked down the stairs and saw a tiny girl, with a blue hat on and blue tail, in a dark green one piece, hugging a taller older version of him self.
"Bro?" I called out. Nepeta jumped down. The person turned around and I saw my brother. Well Bro. He smiled. I hugged him and Dirk finished his desend from the top of the stairs. Nepeta jumped on to him. He hugged her. She kinda climped and crawled at the same time behind him. She was on his back.
Jane and Roxy walked by Dirk. Jade stood by me. My face flushed a little.
"So this is what you do when I leave? Invite your loud friends and have pool parties?" He asked with a smile.
"Bro?" Dave called out, "Have you been here the whole time and just hiding out?" He asked.
"If hiding out is being in my room in my house then exactly." He said. Dave rolled his eyes.
"Well we have 13 people coming so..... be careful." Dave said. Bro laughed and walked back upstairs.
"And by the way, John? Nice prank. Next time dont use hotsauce." He said. John was darker than Dave's eyes. Dave laughed and patted his back. John mumbled and sat down.

Time skip
I in the pool. 18 or more of the people showed up. Some brought extra. Mostly everyone brought their older sibling or girlfriend or boyfriend or both.

Our pool was large but that doesn't mean we want everyone here.
We are still missing Rose, Kanaya, Porrim, Karkat, Kankri, and Garson. Garson had to go pick up something when her brother's left.
Right now we are playing Goofy. Dirk is it. The category was favorite colour. Jade, Dave, Gamzee, Sollax, Garson and Fef were playing. I was as well.
The colors went green, red, purple, orange, pink, yellow, golden, and jade. *just picked random.*
"Golden!" Dirk yelled. He started to swim. That was my colour. I started to swim faster.
I popped my head out and yelled goofy. That's how you play the game. I won. I saw John and Dave walk out of the pool area. I looked confused.
"What's the category, honey?" Jade called out. I blushed.
"Favorite food!"

Dave's pov
I looked around. Karkat wasn't here yet. I got out of the pool. I started to walk up stairs.

No one's pov
Dave walked up stairs into his bedroom. John had opened the door and called out to his friend.
Dave fell onto his bed and lied on his stomach. His shades had been taken off. John had opened the door a little and peeked in.
He walked in and sat down by Dave's legs. He started to rub his back.
"Is your boyfriend not coming?" John asked.
"Hes not my boyfriends. He's is. Just with Garson." He said. Garson was Campbell's good friend. One of the Captor siblings. They was the youngest. They had the same thing her brothers, two different coloured eyes. Their brown bangs normally covered their left eye. They were no binary. They normally went by they or she.
"Oh...... he's really not?" John asked. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down.
"I'm not really sure. I lo- liked him. He's just not as interested as he used to be." Dave replied. John started to rub Dave's back again.
"Are you sure?" John asked. Dave nodded. John took a deap breath. Dave ran a hand through his own hair,"Your nerves. Stop. I know he likes you. I can see it in his eyes." John said. He smiled down at his friend, "Also Garson's my.... um girlfriend or boyfriend how ever they put it?" John said.
Dave sat up quckly. John almost fell off of it.
Dave grabbed onto John's hand, keeping him from falling. Dave's face was inches away from John's. Scarlett meet blue. John blushed. Dave looked serious.
"How long?"
"....a little more than a week." John said. Dave pulled him back up.
"Well then let's go back down stairs. I'm soaking my bed." Dave said smiling. John was under Dave's arm.
"Ah! Your bathing suite is wet!" John cried out. Dave laughed and gave him a friendly punch.
And they walked down stairs.
