Kirstin's P.O.V.
It's been over an hour since the doctor told me I was only dilated 1 cm. Apparently since they had to induce me there is a strong possibility that if I do use an epidural Leah could be hurt, so I'm not chancing it. I felt yet another, strong pain go from my tummy to my toes then back to the top of my head, I think that's the worst thing, the fact that my whole body hurts plus the fact that my area, feels like its on fire.
"Hey babe, How are you doing?" Liam asked walking into the room wearing a doctors suit.
"Good, and you?" I laughed, pulling back his little hat then letting it go again.
"Fine, worried for Leah I guess..." He said sitting down and rubbing my now, very soft belly...
Just then the doctor came in and smiled at me...
"It's been an hour since we last checked so let's see how far dilated you are, shall we?" She asked and I nodded..
She got down there as I propped my feet up on the things. I heard the snap of her glove then felt a slight pressure. She stood and took off her gloves, tossing them in the trash...
"Well, you're about ten. Maybe a millimeter away so let's just call it ten." She laughed and I sighed..
"Let me get the nurses and I'll be right back." She said then left.
Just then Niall poked his head in the door and he had on his own little doctors uniform... I smiled at him and motioned for him to come in.
"The doctor said that you're gonna start pushing and Lacey told me to come get a video of Leah when she first gets here...." He said shaking his camcorder.
"Okay, uh can you text Maliha to go get my overnight bag from Liam's and I's flat?" I asked squeezing Liam's hand.
"I'll text Joey, Louis and Maliha are kinda making out." He said and I laughed.
After maybe four or five minuets Doctor Davidson walked back in with four nurses. I saw them sitting scissors and clips onto a tray and they all got gloves on... I had Niall on my left and Liam on my right. I grabbed Liam's hand as Niall focused on the camcorder, not wanting to miss a second... Just then the doctor looked to me with a sweet smile.
"Alright, I'm gonna say 1, 2, 3, push then I want you to push as hard as you can like your taking a giant dump... Then I want you to keep pushing for ten seconds alright?" She said and I nodded, bushing my baby hairs to the base of the messy bun I had in.
"1, 2, 3, PUSH!" She yelled and I did what she said. "1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9,10" she counted and I let put my breath, uncurling my toes.
We did that maybe three more times before she said, "I see her head!" And I got existed.
"Now these next ones are going to be hard because we have to get her shoulders threw..." She said and I nodded...
I pushed as hard as I could and it ended in a scream. IT FELT LIKE MY VIGINA WAS GETTING TORN IN HALF! I pushed a second time and this time held in my scream. Just then I heard a loud scream fill the room and I smiled... Liam pushed back the hairs on my head then walked over to see Leah.
"Do you want to cut the umbilical cord and count her fingers and toes, then be the first to hold her?" She asked and Liam's smile grew wide... Three of the nurses were getting things ready to clean her up as the other one helped the doctor clip the clips. I saw Liam take the medical scissors and then he cut it but it took a second time then her picked Leah up and started to rock her.
"Okay Miss Hildebrand, we are going to have to push out the placenta now." The doctor said and I nodded. Both Liam and Niall were helping the nurses clean Annaleah. She told me to push and I did. I felt a weird liquid kind of thing come and then she walked away with a bedpan. One of the nurses walked over to me and helped me be more comfortable, helping me place my legs back on the bed and putting the foot holsters away. I had to sit on my side because it hurt to sit normally and then Liam walked over with our baby.
