"You can't make me go with you. It's sadistic, and cruel, and, y-- you just, you can't make me go." Alaska complained.

"You're being overdramatic. And, yes, I can. Because I'm your father, you have to do what I say until you're eighteen. It's the law."

"Fine. But why do I have to go again?" She asked.

"Because he might need a little... persuasion."

"And I am going to help with that, how?"

"You're 16. Pretty. Single." Tony emphasized the last word.

She rolled her eyes, then asked, "When are we going?"

"Now."

"Just, c-- can you give me, like, five minutes to get ready? And before we go, the least you could do is tell me the name of this boy."

"Hmm," Tony pretended to contemplate telling her the boys name. "No. Go get ready."

Alaska trudged back into her room to go change out of the leggings and oversized sweater that she was currently wearing. She threw on the first things she saw in her closet--which were a pale orange and white striped turtleneck and a black high-waisted skirt. She hastily tied up half of her hair and pulled a few strands down to frame her face. At that point, Tony was already banging on her door, telling her to hurry up, so she had no time to put her contacts in and settled for her glasses. She hurriedly put on some shoes before finally exiting her room and following Tony to the car.

___

They arrived at the boys apartment in Queens. She grew anxious, waiting to talk to the boy. She knew Tony was planning on recruiting him for the Avengers and couldn't wait to have someone her age on the team. Not that she didn't love the current members, they were her family, but she needed someone who would actually understand her references and jokes. Alaska stood beside her father, as he knocked on the door. The door opened almost immediately and a woman in her forties appeared, staring wide eyed, in front of the two Starks.

"Hi, May." Tony smiled brightly at the woman in the doorway.

"Oh! Mister and Miss Stark, what can I do for you?" May asked.

"We're here about your nephew. It's nothing serious, he's just part of a foundation, charity thing." Tony assured May.

"Let's talk inside. Please, come in." May said, moving out of the doorway, allowing the two Starks to pass.

Alaska followed her father into the small apartment, where they both sat on the couch. Once the two Starks were settled on the couch, Alaska saw May walk into the room with with a tray that had a pitcher of lemonade, glasses, and a loaf of some sort of bread. After setting the tray down, May took a seat beside Tony. The two adults started talking and Alaska stayed quiet, and avoided conversation as she sipped her lemonade and fiddled with her necklace. She sat there and listened to her dad tell May about the September Foundation, which was a real thing, but May's nephew wasn't really apart of it. Although, he told her he would talk more about it with her nephew.

Soon after the adults were deep in conversation, they heard the door open. Alaska's head was the first to turn, she wanted to see if it was the boy. She was curious, her father had told her that the boy was Spider-Man and she was curious to see who the Spider-Man could possibly be. The boy walked in and Alaska watched as he set his things down in the kitchen.

"Hey Aunt May." He greeted.

"Oh, hey, how was school today?" May smiled.

"Okay," He responds. "There's this crazy car parked outside--"

He turned his head and his eyes immediately flickered over to Tony Stark. His eyes widened at the realization that Tony Stark was in his apartment. Tony smirked at the boys reaction.

"Oh, Mr. Parker."

The boy took out his earphones and stepped closer. "Um, what-- what are you doing here?" Then, he saw Alaska and his eyes locked with hers. "Hey, I'm-- I'm Peter."

Alaska smiled and opened her mouth, but instead, Tony replied. "Tony."

Alaska glared at her father before smiling back up at Peter and saying, "Alaska. Alaska Stark."

Then, Alaska sunk back into the couch as Peter, May, and Tony started talking about the September Foundation again.

___

After they finished talking about the September Foundation, Tony and Peter went into Peter's room, while May and Alaska sat awkwardly on the couch.

"So," May attempted conversation.

"Oh, you don't have to stay with me. I'm fine." Alaska smiled.

May got up and headed towards the kitchen and Alaska stayed on the couch, playing on her phone and texting her friends.

Alaska sat on the couch for about two more minutes, contemplating actually leaving or just staying in the bathroom until Tony was done talking to Peter. She thought, if Peter and Tony took quite a while, her staying in the bathroom that long might look weird. She decided to stay in the living room a while and finish off her lemonade before she abruptly left.

"Um, Ms. Parker, do you mind if I use your bathroom?" Alaska asked.

"No, not at all, it's just right over there." May said as she pointed Alaska in the direction of the bathroom.

"Thanks," She smiled before standing up from the couch.

When she was in the bathroom, she locked the door behind her, then she started playing on her phone again. She soon stopped playing on her phone when she could hear her dad and Peter talking from Peter's room.

"You ever been to Germany?"

"No."

"Oh, you'll love it!"

"I can't go to Germany."

"Why not?"

"I... I've got... homework."

She heard Tony sigh then say, "Listen, kid, my daughter's about your age. And, she's single."
