A/N: continued right off of chapter two...
When they got to the ice cream place called "Flurries," Jack's dad said, "We're here!"
Jack's Dad
Elsa and Jack got off first and raced into the store. "Slow down! You'll hurt yourselves!"
Elsa was too excited to wait and slow down. She lined up in the line, and Jack soon came behind her.
"What are you getting?"
"Why do you care, Jackson?"
"Just wondering, Elsie."
"Fine. I'm getting vanilla." At the sound of the word vanilla Jack playfully gagged.
"What's wrong with vanilla?" Elsa said, suddenly defensive of her favorite ice cream flavor.
"It's so basic."
"Alright... And what flavor are you getting?"
Elsa sneered.
"Mint chocolate chip. Or banana chocolate chip..." Jack said dreamily.
"Ew!"
"You've never tried them!"
"And how would YOU know?"
The kids were so busy arguing that they didn't hear when the lady behind the counter spoke to them. Jack's dad intertwined.
"Hi. I'd like a chocolate ice cream cone, a small vanilla, and a..."
"Mint chocolate chip."
"And a mint chocolate chip." He smiled at the lady.
"Will do!" She said and smiled sweetly at Jack and Elsa.
Once they had gotten their ice cream and sat down, they all began eating. Elsa smiled mischievously and stopped eating.
"What?" Jack said.
"I race you!"
"Eating the ice cream?"
"Duh."
Jack's dad was about to intertwine again but decided not to. He continued eating his chocolate cone and watch the kids race when—
"BRAIN FREEZE! I GOT THE CHILLS!"
Elsa and Jack stopped and looked and him— before bursting out into laughter.
"I don't get brain freezes!" Elsa said, shaking her head softly and laughing.
"Me— n-neither!" Jack huffed in between laughs.
He smiled softly down at the two. They'll be great partners in the future— especially with their powers.
