A not so perfect us

Rule 1 : Say yes when a hot stranger asks you to go out for drinks with him.

23 days had already passed by after what happened on that day. On NYE. I will never forget that day. It was the best day of my life.

We were at Kate's house partying and waiting for the clock to strike 12. I had gone to Kate's party with my best friends, Bailey and Dale who were no longer with me in the party. They were busy dancing and flirting with their dates and here I was sitting on the couch , eating a slice of pizza, alone looking at everyone happy and getting jealous.

Yeah I know that's selfish of me but what else can a girl without a date do on a New Year's Eve. I finished having the slice and was about to go out to the garden for the cold to bite me when I saw him laughing at one of his friends who I think lost at beer pong and now had to do exactly what he, the good looking..wait no.. the hot guy tells him to do. I just stood there glancing at him maybe for a little too long and came back to my senses when Dale tapped on my shoulder making me turn towards him.

He said with an unreadable expression, "He's not your type, Gia". YI got a little disappointed but tried not to show anything on my face because it wasn't even like I talked to him once. So I replied, "Oh please I just found him cute not like I was dreaming of us to get together". Actually I was. He burst out laughing, "Oh please Gia I've known you for my entire life. You really do like him." I gave him a death stare that stopped him talking any further about it and he changed the topic by saying,"Anyways, I just came here to see whether you were doing okay without me and Bailey. We're really sorry but I couldn't say no to Blu and Bailey couldn't say it to Tyler because you know how long she's been waiting for him to ask her out".

I did understand them and felt happy that Dale made an effort. I was feeling better than before and decided I'll try to make new friends instead of dying out of boredom on the couch. I assured him I'll do fine without both of them and asked him to join Blu because I could see she was a little upset that Dale had left her alone on the dance floor. I never really liked her much but she's my best friend's girl. I ought to like her.

I declined the thought of going out to the garden because that'll make me seem less loner already. Instead I went to the kitchen to get a drink when I saw him again. His hazel eyes, his dark brown hair and urgh that body. I DIED.

He and I were the only ones in the kitchen. He was near the fridge and was searching for drinks when he  looked at me and smiled. Oh I swear, it was so genuine and it was one of those which makes your heartbeat faster. I returned one of those of which I'm pretty sure was the creepiest smile ever. I get a bit too self-conscious when hot guys like him smile at me.

I didn't wanna look weird so I asked, "Are there any left?" He looked a little a disappointed and said, "Nayyy, I really am in need of one". I just looked at him and gave him one of those aww I feel bad for you smiles. Wow. I should stop with those already.

He shut the fridge door and started walking towards me. He came closer to me and asked,"Would you mind coming with me to get some drinks and maybe later we can do something fun because this party is dead." Reading the confused expression on my face he laughed and immediately said," Sorry that was very random. We don't even know each other. I'm Aiden." Inside my mind I was all like very Irish hmm. I think there was a smirk playing on my lips and when I got back to my senses I realised a few seconds have passed and I haven't replied. I felt so embarrassed and apologized to him. " I'm really sorry that I zoned out. So you're Aiden. Hi, I'm Gia. Of course  I would like to come with you and oh my gawd yes the party is sooo dead. I didn't wanna come but my friends forced me to." He chuckled and said, "Oh please stop hiding the fact that you were checking me out".
"WHAT? NO?!"

"Oh yes babe, you were"

"Don't get too cocky"

"Whatever"

"So where are we going anyways? What are we gonna do after getting drinks?", I asked. He had this mischievous smile on his face and replied, "You'll see."

I did get a little curious but I refrained from asking. Instead I said, "I like surprises".
Little did I know that things wouldn't be the same from then.

This is a very short one ik but I have loads of stuff coming up in the future.
This is my first work ever and I swear it gets amazing ahead. Please no hate but I'm open to suggestions thank you.
