"So did she accept the case?" Scarlet asked in excitement with her eyes still wide open.

Lance sighed and drink a glass of water. "Yeah. She did. And now, she's having a difficult time because of it."

“Wow! She’s really a one brave woman. If I were her, kahit sino pa man ang kumumbinsi sa akin, hinding-hindi ko hahawakan ang ganyang kaso. Not because I don't want to but because I can't. Totoo nga pala talagang napakatapang niya.” she said with full of adoration.

Ngumit ng matamlay si Lance. In his mind, gusto niyang sabihin sa girlfiend na nagkakamali ito ng akala sa abogada. How he wishes he can tell the people who think about the lawyer as an iron woman that they’re having a wrong impression. Sa maiksing panahong nakasama niya ang babae, ang kadalasang nakikita niya mula dito ay pawang pagkukunwari ng isang taong may malambot na puso.

“Yes, she’s maybe tough but she’s a human too… so siguro ay nahihirapan din siya sa ganyang sitwasyon,” he answered.

  

“Of course it's a fact that she’s having a difficult time too. But to be able to face those sorts of people for the sake of professionalism, wow that’s something big! I can imagine how cool she was when facing those clients. Looking tough and intelligent in the eyes of many people, how I wish I could be like her,” puno ng paghangang pahayag ni Scarlet.

"No. Don't be like her. May mga taong siguro nga ay matatapang sa mata ng ibang tao pero ang totoo they are living a lonely life. Your personality is already perfect in my opinion. And it's not good to change it only because you're comparing yourself to other woman," he said strongly.

“A-All I’m saying is, I idolized her as a lawyer but not as a private person…” mahinang paliwanah ng dalaga nang maramdamang tila hindi natuwa ang boyfriend sa kanyang huling sinabi.

Nahalata ni Scarlet na nanatiling matamlay ang boyfriend kaya’t nakangiting lumipat siya sa tabi nito at malambing itong inalo. Kumapit siya sa braso ng lalaki at sumandal sa balikat nito. “Don’t feel bad sweetie. You should not blame yourself, unang-una hindi mo naman alam ang totoong dahilan niya. She should have told you in the first place kung bakit ayaw niyang tanggapin ang kaso.”

Napabuntong-hininga si Lance. “That’s exactly the point. I didn’t know the story at sa katulad niyang may magandang kredibilidad pagdating sa trabaho, I should have trusted her reason why she tried to reject the client. I feel ashamed now.”

“Come on don’t be harsh to yourself. Kilala kita. Alam kong kaya mo lang nagawa yun dahil it’s either nagmamalasakit ka sa kliyente or sa boss mo. Cheer up! Today is my birthday, remember sweetie.”
