Jesse's Bestfriend (Free Willy)

Chapter 1

This day started off like any other Jessie, 'our friends', and I we trying to get enough money for food.

I went went up to a woman with brown hair and business a tire on, and said "Excuse me miss my father dropped me off on his way to work, and forgot to give me bus fare. Could I possibly have some money in order to catch the bus home?"

I saw Jesse go up to an African-American woman and tell her, that he and his friends had spent all of their money at the Natural History Museum, if she could lend him a few dollars; which she happily did.

After Jesse, our friends, and I had collected all the money we could, we totaled it to about 3 dollars and a few cents. Not enough for us all to get food. One of our friends Said "Oh, man this sucks!" While Jesse yelled "I need some real food man."

As we were walking we spotted an outdoor type restaurant. We saw that there was a table full of scraps and we gladly took them as we had not had much to eat in a while. As we were taking the scraps I saw a family look over at us in disgust, but I ignored it. If I didn't have to do this I wouldn't do it trust me, but I gotta eat.
Jesse though lingered a bit so I yelled "Come on, Jess!" Just in time too, as a waiter started to chase us.

Not far off we came across a women putting cakes in to a van from the bakery. "Hey, Jesse think you can snag one without being caught?" I said

He tossed me his back pack and replied, " Do you even have to ask? You've known me long enough to know that I can."

He then quickly ran into the van and got a cake as the others cheered him on. We all quickly ran to the skate park, to eat.

We all sat around while a girl in our 'group' explaind how she ended up on the streets. Well I know what you must be thinking shouldn't you know this, aren't they your friends? Well yes and no. There are 4 in the group excluding me, and of those 4 I only know 2. Perry and Jesse, Jesse and I met the other 2 through Perry, so me and Jessie don't know them that well.

Anyway the girl was talking about how her mother left her. Jesse then said,"Ya? Well, I bolted." The boy said, "All the way from Cooperton? Ya." And then laughed like Jesse told him the best joke ever.

Jesse got defensive and said "Ya, we'll we did bonehead." And Perry said " Shut up, what do you know? All three of us bolted."

I saw that Jesse was getting annoyed so I held his hand and told him, "Jess it doesn't matter if they believe us or not, don't let it get to you. The only ones who truely know what happend are Perry, You, and I. Ok?"

He let out a sigh and said "Sure." With a little smile on his face and I gave him one in return. The girl continued, "I know they watch you like your going to stick a knife in their back. I had to wait until some foster home losers took me and then, I slipped."

Perry quipped "Maybe you just ain't as smart as us."

"Oh, eat it." the girl replied.

"I am." Said Perry referring to the cake with a grin on his face.

"I just want my own place, like an apartment or something." Jesse said.

Perry said " You, me, and Alexis right? We'll hook up with someone. With my brains, you personality, and Alexis's pretty face well be rich."

Jesse made a face and threw some cake at Perry. We all started laughing, that is until the cops came. "Get out of here, go go go!" Jesse exclaimed.

We all started running but before I went I got a handfull of cake, what? I hadn't had one in so long, I have to at least take a little bit of it.

As we're running I yell, "Let's split up!"

Jesse and Perry tell the other guys,"See you guys!" "Alright bye!" they reply.

"Jesse, Perry, this way." I tell them.
"Go, go go man!"

"Through here guys!"yelled Jesse. "Come on, come on, quick!" Perry rushed out, as Jesse held up the two lose fence boards for me to get through.

I then noticed some stairs that led to a door. "Guys, down here!" I told them. "Shut it, shut it quick!" Jesse motioned to the door.

As we walked through the dark room we were looking for a light switch or something. I could see nothing so I almost fell, luckily Jesse caught me. "Be careful Alexis." Jesse told me. "Ya, clumsy." Perry hissed as he found the light.

"Shut up." I said blushing. " Leave her alone Perry she's the one who found the room we're hiding in anyway." Jesse defended, as I smiled at him.

"Oh, defending your girlfriend Jesse?" Perry teased as he pulled the spray paint out of his back pack.

"She's not my girlfriend, she's my bestfriend bonehead!" Jesse breathed out with a blush on his face.

"Whatever, maybe I have a shot then."Perry stated, as he started spray painting the other room. "No, you don't." I told him, as Jesse smiled and tossed me a can of spray paint.

When Jesse started painting the back of the door, I decided to check this room out. Just like the first room there was a lot of bottles and some other junk that I didn't recognize. As I walked further in I saw water being retained by big glass windows. I walked up to the glass just as the lightning from outside illuminated the water and saw a giant fish. I got scared but I could sware that I've seen one of these in a newspaper or something. "Whoa, Jesse take a look do you see that? It looks like a giant black and white fish." I said looking through the glass.

Jesse came over to take a look just as the lightning flashed and stared screaming, "What is that? Perry!" I started laughing, I mean how could he get scared there's glass withholding the fish. Jesse came back after he heard the fish's whistle. He started looking at it in amazement. "Wow",he breathed. "Beautiful, huh Jess?" I asked as he just kept staring at the fish through the tank.

All of the sudden Perry yelled, "Jesse! Alexis! Cops, run!" Right after we heard that we bolted. Cops came from the first room and yelled "Hold it kids! They're going up the stairs!"

All I heard was "Hold on!" And the next thing I knew is Jesse and I were tackled to the floor; with cops on top of us demanding that we relax, and calm down. With a native American looking man staring at us.

As they were driving us away Jesse asked me, "Are you alright? You have a scratch on you cheek." while inspecting my face.

I replied with "I'm fine. Are you ok? You have a nose bleed." I checked my pockets for a napkin but couldn't find one so, I ripped the pocket off of my flannel and gave it to him.

He gave me a look as if to say why. "It's the best that I could do, and you have a bloody nose." I used my pocket to stop the bleeding as Jesse said, "Thank you."

"Jesse you know I would do anything for you, your all I've got." Then I gave him as kiss on his cheek, and made him lean on me with his head on my none exsistant chest; so he could hear my heart beat, and relax.
