The others who don't fulfill one or more of the criteria or those who keep reading because of their master degree, please pay attention to my words. I am an insensitive prick who watched too many horror movies and read too many horror stories. Because of that, I only get scared when jump scares knock on my door (Still for some reason, I cry in Digimon). I don't know when it is too gory for certain ages nor do I realize if it's scary since the only suspense I feel in a book is to flip the next page to know what happens next. This book can involve torture, gore, weird imagination, mature content (involving hetero, bi and homosexuality, mentions of orgies and the list could go on) and my attempt to fuck up your mind by failing very badly.
Now after reading this you believe some shit is going to happen. Well yes and no, this is also the reason why I am a prick (because I made so many people cry).
Despite listing the warnings down the book could have, I won't smack that content right in your face. So if you really wish to catch a glimpse of the story's heart (like in many other kidnapping or torture story...) right at the beginning, I can already assure you that story isn't for you. I am a patient person who builds his story by hiding many (obvious) clues in different chapters, never mentioning whose POV it is or whether it is a flashback and being very slow in making progress in a relationship (I suck at romance). You have a brain. Use it... If you can. When I write a book, I like to create puzzles. Maybe it is the influence of interpreting books in German class every time or maybe my sadistic desire to make the life of a cinnamon bun struggling. There is no need to grab several holy books from different religions to understand some words since I would hint my sources in some way or put it at the end of the chapter. I for my part say the beginning is pretty harmless. If something happens, there would be a warning, and if you think that in a specifc chapter should be one, I write one. (You found a book in a horror section. What do you expect?) Needless to say, I am also very unserious; keep it in the back of your mind.
