Honey lets go get some milk for the week. As Beth and Bartholomew went to get some milk they noticed that where the kept their prize cow was missing and the gate in the back was open. They went to look out in the back where some of their cows eat and they saw the fence was broken down.

Bartholomew said “stay inside Beth I will go look for him down in the woods.”

He looked for about 3 hours and did not find a track or anything in the woods that would lead him to the cow.

Just as he was almost out of the woods he saw a pile of poop.

He said “I can't give up now I got a lead of where the missing cow is.’’

After he looked for a little Beth said “time to come in and get something for lunch.”

When he was eating he said I looked everywhere I could not find really anything that would lead me to the cow. He gave up for the day and said if he was there last night I doubt he died or ran to far away so I will look for him a little bit. Also we only lost one cow but even though he had the best milk we can always find or buy and new cow. The next morning he went hunting and he sat in the stand all day and when he was about to shot at this big buck that would give them a freezer full of food he looked behind it and saw something that was out of whack. He could not see but it kinda looked like a cow but he was not sure what it was so he did not take a shot. So he decided to give up scare it away and start walking back home for lunch.

As he was walking home he looked up the hill and there it was the missing cow. He called his wife and said get down by the hill towards the river I see the cow so go to the other side and we can chase him back to the ranch. They were right next to the gate and then they realized the cow was gonna have a baby and said she is gonna have a baby before we get her in a stable! The baby could die!

Luckily they got it there in time and had to help the mom cow have her first child and when it came out they thought it was dead because it head came first and its tongue was out so they thought it had suffocated. It took 10 days for the baby cow to get all better and have enough strength to get up and walk.
