One –

“Dammit Ashton! Stop walking into the bathroom every time I’m naked!” I exclaimed furiously, desperately wrapping the towel around my soaked body to shield it away from Ashton’s prying eyes. “How do you even get in, anyway? I could’ve sworn I locked the door this time.” I mumbled to myself, frowning in thought before looking up to glare at Ashton

Ashton’s eyes never left my body, lingering on my chest, as his lips lifted up into a smirk. “And I could’ve sworn that I used one of your bobby pins to unlock the door.” He replied, smirking wider as my eyes went wide.

“Are you crazy?! Do you know when Shane finds out you did this, he’s going to beat you to a pulp! Not that I wouldn’t mind that happening.” I snapped, pushing away the wet strands of hair that clung to my face in annoyance before glaring at Ashton again.

“He won’t find out.” Ashton shrugged, before leaning against the door frame of the bathroom casually, flipping a bobby pin in between his long, slender fingers.

“Yes he will. I’ll tell him.” I replied stubbornly, smirking smugly.

“No, you won’t.” Ashton responded, just as smugly. I flared my nostrils out in anger, before pushing past him. “We’ll see about that.” I muttered to myself, trying to calm myself down from the two minutes I unfortunately encountered with Ashton. I heard him chuckle just before I slammed my bedroom door shut, making the photograph near the door shake slightly from the impact.

The silence of my room began to calm my anger, and I instantly began to look through my wardrobe after brushing my hair in order to get ready for the first day of senior year. I thanked God that Ashton and Shane were no longer attending high school, thanks to their very eventful and definitely memorable graduation last year. Ashton would no longer be a pain in my ass for at least six hours of the day – what more could a girl ask for in life?

I decided to go with my dark wash jeans and pastel pink V-neck sweater, playing it safe for the first day back, just as my phone began to vibrate on the surface of my study desk. I answered it without looking at the caller ID. “Hello?”

“Hey Kat, are you ready?” A smile instantly made its way onto my lips as my boyfriend’s voice sounded from the receiver of the phone.

Are you outside? I’ll be there in a minute. I just need to pull my jeans on.” I announced, yanking out the dark wash pair from the closet.

“Okay, see you in a few.” He replied. I hung up the phone and threw it onto the bed before clumsily shoving one leg into the thick material.

“I’m glad I walked in when I did.” A raspy voice said from the door, making me squeal in surprise and stumble on my own footing before my back met the floor. I groaned in pain before looking up to see the source of the noise, and instantly gasped when I saw Ashton standing in my room with the same irritating smirk etched onto his lips.

“What the hell?!” I exclaimed, pulling my jeans up as quickly as possible to cover up the exposed skin from his eyes, and getting up and glaring at him. “Stop picking the locks to every room I’m in! I lock the door for  reason, idiot. You’re so annoying, how do girls even stand to be in the same room as you?” I questioned sceptically before grabbing my school things and throwing a glare in his direction.

“Annoyingly handsome.” Adrian smirked, ignoring the rest of my sentence.

I rolled my eyes and pushed past him. “I’m going to school.” I called out to no one in particular.

“Have fun honey!” I heard my mother call out, just before I clicked the front door shut. I walked over to James with a small smile on my face before opening the passenger side door to his electric blue car. “Hey senior.” I winked, pecking his cheek.
