"Mr. Barredo, let me clarify my client's claim to your conjugal properties. She doesn't intend to get whatever she wants. She'll get what she thinks she deserves. And as we studied thoroughly, here are the properties she's claiming," sabay abot ng abogada ng isang file sa abogado ng kabilang panig.

"Just say yes to it," utos ni Mr. Barredo sa abogado nang hindi man lamang binasa ang inabot na papel sa kanila.

"Are you out of your mind, Kurt? We're not talking small amount of money here," sagot ng abogdo.

"Yes. I'm out of my mind now because I'm in front of someone who could make me think this way..."

Lalong naguluhan si Lance sa huling narinig. His drowning in curiosity. He saw that Atty. De Silva choked up after hearing what Mr. Barredo said. What's going on in this meeting?

Ramdam ni Lance ang naghihinang mga tuhod ng abogada kaya't nagpaalam din siya para sundan at alalayan ito patungo sa comfort room. Naabutan niya sa hallway ang babae na nakatuon ang isang kamay sa dingding at nakahawak naman ang isang kamay sa dibdib. She's looking at the floor so he can't see her face. Is she crying?

"Are you okay?" tanong niya habang hindi malaman kung tatapikin ba ito sa likod upang aluin o hahawakan sa magkabilang balikat para huwag itong matumba.
