You could hardly get up that morning. Your head was killing you and your shoulder was still burning. Jean turned to face you, "[Y/N], we're off to class... Catch us up when you feel better, ok?" She smiled, obviously concerned more about your wellbeing than which classes you'd attend.

You appreciated her and Kitty's kindness. They always were good to you, after all.

You made your way down a few minutes later, visiting the infirmary instead of the classroom. "Hey," you greeted, "Can you help me out?" You asked the nurse. She pressed her hand against the stinging wound and it healed up slowly. "Bobby again?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"Don't tell Charles. Bobby doesn't mean it, really." You pushed. She sighed.

"Promise me you'll tell Charles yourself if it does get worse." She demanded.

"I promise."

You took off again to find Logan. You had been given a free get-out-of-class card to see the hottest teacher in the school. Of course, your real intention to go see Logan was to learn to control those unpredictable powers of yours.

You met him in his dorm, and could hear him groaning from his room. You knocked on the door.

"Come in." He murmured. "Ah, Copycat. I'm beat... I drank one too many last night..."

"I noticed."

"Well, I'm up, let's get to work." He stood up, and pulled a shirt on. It was somewhat difficult for you to look away whilst he dressed himself.

"So where are we going?" You asked him.

"You'll see."

You found yourselves in the middle of the field, surrounded by the lake and trees which made Charles' garden so colossal.

"Alright, Copycat. I want you to try and fight me." Logan instructed.

Without any hesitation, you lunged at him, a huge pawed arm outstretched. In response, he frowned in your direction, grasping your wrist in his hand. His strength was overpowering, as he blocked you from moving. "Wrong."

He released your arm, which you withdrew, and shifted into a puma.

You leaned forwards to bite Logan, but the Wolverine uppercut your throat. Teeth sank into your tongue, causing it to bleed.

"Wrong again. You mistake size for power." Logan judged, "In order to control your ability you need to find a balance between that rage of yours and the mind state where you are most calm and focused. Try again."

You took a deep breath, and switched form again; becoming a wolf. The wolf was a calm and mysterious spirit, reflecting your mind-state.

Logan smiled; "Your form appears to change as a result of your emotion. You need to learn how to suppress that act and change by choice in the heat of battle."

You stared him down, flicking the tip of your tail as you streaked across the field to close the gap between him and yourself. He lunged for you, reaching to strike your chest so that you could be thrown aside, but, seeing his attack coming, you focused, channeling power into something smaller, becoming a rabbit.

Logan was confused as you bolted through his legs. Assuming your normal, human form almost instantaneously from behind, you managed to wrap the Wolverine's arm up behind his back and he yelped as you lifted the armlock. Erik had taught you that one.

Logan huffed. "Very good. Size doesn't mean power, in fact, you have a very effective means of outfoxing your opponent in the shadows of war." He smiled, erecting his Adamantium claws. You felt the blade scathe your arm as he brought them out, and jumped back in surprise.

"And don't ever forget who you're fighting." Logan advised.

The sound of clapping echoed across the field. You turned around, seeing that same silver haired boy from last night standing not far from the fight. "You know, I've never seen anyone do that before." He smiled, complimenting your antics. Logan looked at him sideways with some form of smirk, and Peter looked slightly embarrassed. You noticed Logan starting to grow uncomfortable with the situation in the seconds he analysed Peter, and he glanced around, desperately trying to find a reason to leave. He spotted Bobby across the lake.
"Hey guys I gotta go, we need some ice. Somebody used it all." He gave Peter a death glare before quickly backing out of the situation.
"No no, wait!" Peter called to him, but he was gone. Peter retained his cool though, rubbing his neck with a sigh. "Well it was nice to see you, well, your fight that is, but I've got somewhere to be." He hurried, and he was gone before you had the chance to open your mouth.
'Bye...' You thought sadly. It was funny, even though he'd been there for a few seconds, it had been enough to really get to look at him. His floppy silver hair and deep brown eyes had caught your interest for sure.
You felt a pang in your chest as you thought about it, and as much as you tried to shake it, the notion wasn't going away.

He's cute.
