My name? Well, i don't have one that i like. My name is Kaylee Bowen. See? My name is not so cute. I don't really have any friends. I'm more of a loner. I do have one true friend and her name is Cassidy Bridges. Cassidy is one of those girls that every girl wants to be and every guy wants to be with. She has the straight blonde hair i would kill to have. Her boyfriend of two years recently broke up with her. He had told her that he wanted more out of life and then he moved without saying goodbye to anyone. Even his parents were confused by his behaviour. I'm also a really nerdy person. i don't know what it is about my passion for anything about books. Ever since i was able to read, i would read anything from road signs to menus. Well that's not really the point of this story. This is the story of how Cassidy and i changed. Change can be good. you just have to accept it. Well it all started the day school let out for the summer before senior year. Friday May 17, 2014.
Kaylee's pov.
" Kaylee, time to get up. you don't want to be late for the last day of school." my mother called. i groaned and got out of bed. i dragged my feet to the closet. i opened the door and grabbed my last day of school outfit. It was a Set It Off shirt paired with a pair of white ripped skinny jeans. For shoes? well i slipped on a pair of teal vans. I checked myself in my mirror and brushed my teeth and then grabbed my car keys, wallet, backpack and phone with the headphones still connected. i went downstairs. " Hey Mrs. Sunshine, hope you have a good day at work." i tell my mom as i give her a kiss on the cheek. I walked out the backdoor to the garage where my teal Tahoe was sitting. i opened the garage door and then pulled out. As i pulled into the school parking lot, i saw the queen bees and saw cassidy sitting in our usual meet-before-school- starts spot. i parked and got out. i walked up to her, "Hey Cass, whats up?" "Nothing much, btw, HE, called." i knew who she was talking about and i grit my teeth together.

The bell rang signaling for all students to get to class for the last time before summer. As i got to the door of my first class, i hear the leader of the queen bees walk up and she physically put her hands on me and pushed me into the room. "Everyone can i have your attention please? Kaylee here is a hormonal bitch that she slept with my boyfriend and gave him something that none of us hope to never get." she continued to humiliate me. The funny thing was that she want humiliating me. What she was actually doing was humiliating herself. "Really?" her boyfriend calmly but furiously asks her. The whole class 'oohed' knowing he was gonna break up with her.
The principal came in a few minutes later and said that we weren't gonna have a teacher this period and to do what we wanted but it had to follow the rules and nothing inappropriate. Cassidy came in after he left and we went to classes until the last bell rang. When the final bell rang, Cassidy told me that she had to go meet someone at her locker and then she left quickly. I walked to my locker and got my things out and was met by the leader of the queen bees. "Bree, what do you want?" i asked her. i was getting tired of her trying to humiliate me but then always ending up actually humiliating herself. it really got old. "You win. im tired of you always winning. so we are gonna settle this. i want you out of my school. i want you to leave because you are a good for nothing useless waste of space who killed my brother." by the end of her speech she was in tears. she walked away. Realising what she said about her brother. i knew she was right for a change. She had succeeded in humiliating me and no one was there to save me.
*Later that day*
I kept hearing what Bree had said going through my mind. I knew there was nothing left for me here. Cassidy had been texting and calling me. i ignored them. I just couldn't bear the thought of being her friend and knowing what i had done to Bree's brother. I had to prove to Bree that i wasn't the same person. I called Cassidy and told her to come over. She immediately came over and told her of my plan to have a makeover and change my nerdy style.
