Joey's POV
As Paul drove us to my new school, my nerves started to build up inside of me and I couldn't understand why.

"I'm supposed to be strong," I thought to myself while I slightly shook my head. I kept singing the alphabet song in my head over and over and over again until I felt dizzy. I was wearing a black tank top with my grey jogging pants and my favourite red converse that Zayn had bought me.

The entire drive felt long and I could feel the guilt in the air between the boys, Paul and especially my daddy. He snuggled me as I sat on his knee and patted my hair back and forth as the car radio played songs.

"Joey, we are all so proud of you," Harry said with a smile making everyone nod in agreement. "But what if everyone starts slegging me about my accent," I argued as I gained confused looks from my uncles. "It means teased," Niall translated with his usual smile before turning to me and saying, "baby that's what I had to go through. Just think of me and think of how we will be closer."

I smiled my usual grin but on the inside I was scared and I knew they could see that. "Joey remember the rules darlin," Uncle Liam said with a laugh but I knew he was being serious. "What were they again? " I questioned gaining a laugh from everyone.

"Try not to swear, no fighting unless someone hits you first, if anyone mentions us just ignore them as we haven't made a public announcement and the most important one is have fun," Liam explained as I continued to cling onto Niall.

"You look pretty cool today Horan," Harry complimented making me smile once again as I replied, "as do you Styles." "And who picked your outfit Jo," Louis butted in raising his eyebrows. "I wonder who boobear," I teased as I knew it was him.

"Looks like we are here missy," Paul announced as he turned into the school grounds. "I've forgotten everything," I whispered in a panic to Niall but he hushed me before handing me a piece of paper with the alphabet on it and a little message in his writing. "Put it in your pocket and look at it when you get confused," he whispered as Paul opened the door and let us out.

"Good luck Joey! We love you!" My uncles said in chorus as they hugged and kissed me from inside the car. "I love you too lads," I shouted to them as Niall and I hopped out of the vehicle. Niall pulled his hood up and just  as Paul was about to close the door Louis shouted my name and threw me my football.
"For good luck," he winked before closing the door.

I gave Paul a hug before taking Niall's hand and walking towards the school reception. I looked back at the car and I could see all of the boys giving me the thumbs up with their faces pressed up against the window. Once we reached the reception we were greeted by the receptionist who I later learned was called Mrs Smith.

"Hello, I'm here to sign my daughter in," Niall said politely as he gently squeezed my hand. "Oh yes you must be Joey Horan," the receptionist beamed as she looked down at me. "Just sign these forms in Mr Horan and then she can go to class," the lady explained as she handed Niall a couple of pages.

I lightly kicked my ball up and down my feet and I remembered when I first saw the boys in the orphanage I was doing that. Once Niall had finished signing the papers he bent down to my height and hugged me tightly as he kissed me on the cheek. "You have your little note?" He whispered referring to the alphabet and I nodded my head at him as I hugged him tightly.

"Joey even though I won't actually be here with you I'll always be in there," he explained as he touched my heart. "I love you daddy," I mumbled gaining a smile from him. "I love you too baby," he said as we pulled out of the hug.

"Honey come with me and I'll take you to your class," Mrs Smith said to me as she gestured to the door. I waved goodbye to Niall before giving him my usual grin and walked through the doors with Mrs Smith.
