(Lucas's point of view) *EDITED*
I sighed as I got out of the airport and onto a cab,this was going to be the
first time I would see my friends since my departure. Pappy Joe had passed away so
Mom and I decided it would be best to come back and resume our lives.
I was exited but nervous, its been a long time since I've seen my friends, I sort of lost touch with them.
I walked the steps towards the school when I heard a voice I'd recognize anywhere. "Hi, I haven't seen you around, are you new here?" She asked before almost immediately speaking again. "Wait L-Lucas is it you?" Asked Riley with hope in her tone.
"Riley its me"I said and hugged Riley. "Where is farkle and maya?" I asked even more excited to see them then when I had first arrived..
"Farkle is in the classroom already, you know how he is, and Maya is at practice
but she will be back by first period." Said Riley, her smile never leaving her face.
Practice? since when did Maya play sports? Then I heard a voice "hey
Riles." Said the voice as Lucas turned around he saw a cheerleader walking
towards them, immediately recognizable by her uniform.
He was shocked to see it was Maya, he realized that since she was shorter it was easier for her
to do all the cheerleader moves and it made sense.
"Wait is that Lucas?" Asked Maya with the same hopeful tone Riley had. "Yeah Maya, its me."I said incredibly happy that I finally got to see her.
I hugged Maya but she pulled away quickly as we heard the bell ring.
(3rd pov)
Lucas was hot, Maya had to admit it but she had a boyfriend so she shouldn't be thinking these things.
Riley and Farkle hugged and sat back down. "Oh and sorry to say cowboy but now
Riley is taken by none other than Farkle" Said Maya with a playful tone.
"Well that's something I didn't see coming, what about you Maya? Who is the guy in your life?" asked Lucas with genuine curiosity.
"Yes I do have a boyfriend his name is Justin." Maya told him and as she did she swears she saw a pang of disappointment cross his face.
I mean she didn't really love Justin but he was captain of the football
team and she was captain of the varsity cheer leading team.
People thought they were a match made in heaven so she just went with it.
-a while of classes later also mr.mathews 's class-
"Hey ranger rick, you coming to the homecoming game next week?"Maya asked Lucas curiously.
"Well ma'm I wouldn't want to miss seeing you perform" Said Lucas as he tipped
his imaginary hat with a smile.
Justin then came walking down the hall with his team. "Hey babe" he said as he hugged Maya.
Lucas wanted to strangle the guy for hugging Maya but he couldn't understand why.
"I'll see you later, alright babe?" Said Justin "Sure" Maya replied with a rather bored tone.
"So that's him." Said Lucas with a twinge of jealousy in his voice. "Yeah, hey Lucas, you should try out for the football team and baseball team, tryouts are next week." Said Maya turning away from her boyfriend's retreating figure.
"Yeah Lucas you should totally tryout" Said Riley enthusiastically.
"Yeah I think I will" Lucas replied, this would be his chance to truly prove himself.
"But only the seniors get to play the homecoming game though."Maya said as if reading his thoughts.
"That's interesting Maya thanks for the info" Said Lucas, slightly disappointed.
"Well I have to get to practice and Riley has to get to debate club" Said Maya as she hooked her arm with Riley's.
"So bye"said Maya "yeah bye"said Riley as she hugged Farkle and they both went
Their different ways.
"They are so different yet so alike." Said Lucas "yeah but they love each other and nothing could ever separate them or keep them apart." Said Farkle.
